Anyways, when the GFX6000 comes out I can sell you my Ti-4200 Thunderbird, it does a much better overclock than what you've ever achieved with a Ti-4200 ;) How bout $7, about the cost of one of my lunches. Heh free lunch for my old video card, I wouldn't mind :)

Nitpick: Stock Ti4600 is 300/650, not 300/600. Sorry :o

DOH!! Well I don't care its damn fast for a Ti-4200 as far as I know :) Although I have seen a few benchmarks in Futuremark's ORB for 3DMark2k1SE that state Ti-4200's running things like 350/680!!! Some luck they had, and I'd imagine some form of active ram cooling like ram sinks with a side panel fan blowing on top of all of them.

EDIT: Now I'm at my PC gonna go get a FRAPS screenshot of UT2k4 running on my PC.

You know.. as much as everyone says T-bird bugs them, every time he posts it generates a LOT of replies. And although the general consensus seems to be he doesn't know what he's talking about in any given post, he does know up to a point.. Just strikes me as curious.

Frankly, it wouldn't surprise me a bit to find out that T-bird is really sapasion or GB_Cobber or someone like that just messing around and seeing just who knows what. heh

We should seriously start up a "Buy TBird a 9800" fund. I'll chip in $20 :D. Not so much to make him stop talking about his Ti4200, but rather to show him what he was missing out on this whole time and show him how slow the Ti4200 has become ;)

Well here are the screens. Tbird, why don't you post some screens for yourself and compare yours to mine. I dare you! :cool:

Uh... dang I don't have any webspace to put my screens on to put them here. Can anyone provide me a link to a free webspace provider that works for that purpose?

Anyways, using 1280x960 full settings I can game between 30-45fps, using 1024x768 full settings I can game at between 40-60fps. If any of you A.D.D. readers forgot, the game is UT2k4 playing Onslaught game mode.

There a lot replies because we fear for the n00bs that don't know any better. If a Ti4200(and the Ti series in general) were as good as he makes it out to be...there wouldn't be a problem. Sadly, this is not the case.:(

T-Bird...I'm still waiting for the pics. I'd love to see the IQ you game with. Also, I don't mind giving you extra time to get them since I know it might be difficult to take them on a system that is only 3DMark stable.:)

If you take TB logic in getting video cards to other parts of the computer...

Its like buying the same processor over and over and over again to find one that overclocks just a little bit more...

How silly does that sound?

That whole 400 points increase in 3DMarks is maybe .25 frames more per second in a game...

Not worth it!

Well, ti4200s aren't exactly what you call a "big boy". What T-Bird's doing is equivalent to giving a "pencil" some viagra. Not gonna come close to the grandaddy ePenis (a 9800XT).
