Awesome display but I can't justify buying the 30" at least for now.

Tried driver 82.65 - No go. Same as 82.12. back to 83.10 with at least 2560x1600 support. here is my EDID diagnosis if anyone has had sucess with these drivers and could check the EDID version. i used Riva Tuner to check it:
$ffffffffff Monitor EDID details
$ffffffffff ---------------------------------------------------
$0d00000000 EDID version : 1.3
$0d00000001 Manufacturer ID : DEL (Dell Computer Corp.)
$0d00000002 Model ID : 4016 (DELL 3007WFP)
$0d00000003 Manufactured on : 2005, week 49
$0d00000004 Serial number : 47323536
$0d00000005 Input signal : digital
$0d00000006 Screen size : 64 x 40 cm
Awesome, not quite the same as yours, but just about 10 minutes ago I ordered a 2005FPW :)
I have dual BFG 7800oc GT's and have had no luck going above 1280x800. When ever I select 2560x1600 the screen goes black and then back to 1280x800. I thought all 7800 GT's would support this. I even bought a EFG 7800GTX and still no luck. I am running a 700watt power supply dual WD Raptors, AMD 3800+, and 4 gigs of Corsair XMS PC 4000. Ugg. If anyone else has had this issue and has worked around it please let me know.
Thanks :)
Mike
Did you try using the other DVI output? Only one of the outputs is dual-link.Quote:

I ran a utility test that NVidia sent me to try to helpm with the driver issues and look what it said:

I currently own a Dell 3007 with a XFX GeForce 7800 GT PCIE 256MB. Using a Dual Link cable (I've tried several, including the one that shipped with the 3007), I cannot get my Windows XP Pro (with ALL latest Windows Updates) to display at 2560x1600 resolution. I am using a Gigabyte Motherboard with AMD 4400+ cpu with 2 GB RAM.
I tried drivers:
81.89
81.94
81.98
82.12
83.10
And I have tried on BOTH dvi physical ports. Have uninstalled previous drivers each time. Actually I was previously running in SLI mode with 2 identical cards, but to reduce potential problematic variables I have UN-SLIed the configuration in both hardware and software. Still no luck. Does anyone have any other ideas I could try?
Are you using the driver cleaning program between installs?Quote:

One thing - make sure you have the USB connected to the monitor correctly, and then install the driver monitors that were on the disk from Dell. I could not get it to work until I did this.
Cali: It looks like my missing CD is the culprit. I did NOT get the CD with my 3007 for some reason. I checked like 10 times and could not find it anywhere with my packaging. If the driver isn't too big can you send it to me at [email protected]
I could not find the drivers on DELL's site. In fact on Dell's site they don't think service tag exists. I do have the USB plugged in.
Forgot to say: Yes I did use a driver cleaning program between installs.
That is the problem then. I could not get it to work until I installed the utility on the disk. I can NOT find it on dell's site, or anywhere else on the internet. I will see how large it is and email it to you if possible.Quote:

Thanks Cali. *Much* appreciated on your helping me out. Unfortunately it didn't solve the problem. It did, however, get the OSD working (the meter that goes left and right when adjustting brightness) which was non-existant before.
I tried your evga 81.94 drivers and tried 82.12 and both didn't work. I did the same routine of uninstalling the driver, rebooting, then running "Driver Cleaner Professional Edition" from www.drivecleaner.net, then rebooting to safe mode (command prompt), and manually deleting some nv4*.* entries that keeps coming back even with drivercleaner. Then installing the new drivers. Then I tried the other physical DVI port. So I pretty much tried all combinations.
Anyways thanks so much again for helping. Meanwhile, I still dunno what to do. :(
