but sounds really dont matter when ur using a headphone or a high performance speakers at load volume during games...as u wont even hear a blast....n for me i think every highend hardware makes noise...in movies the fan on every vid card drops down to 15 - 20% which is absolute silience...
I run both monitors at the same res, same refresh rate now, but it never seemed to matter what res or refresh rate. It would be like lightning bolts across my secondary monitor when dragging apps across from primary to secondary, when starting games the secondary would again phreak, etc.Quote:

I'd go for the 7900gt...best bang for the buck.
Just an fyi, you can flash x1800 to "pe" bios for free and it is almost garunteed to work. it will bring performance up to nicking the heals of a stock x1900xt

To be honest, Sharky Forums is a great resource. Many of the posters are very knowledgeable, and you will learn a lot by moving around through the various forums.
Given that, there is still a good chance to get "caught up in the details" with so many extremists/specialists/hobbyists around. You will see a lot of posts about x brand of vid card has whatever shader, and y brand has better whatever, but I think that truly, in the end, whichever brand you choose, ATI or NVIDIA or whatever, you will be pretty well off. Some games run better on one, some better on the other, but if you get, say, a 7900GT, you will run a lot of games pretty damn well, and I don't think you'll really notice too much difference from the basically equivalent ATI card.
but the main pt which bugs me is the 512MB on the x1800xt n its also capable of HDR+AA..7900GT isnt tho there is not much diff between them if u get a x1800xt its like getting a 7900GT which has HQ AA n HDR+AA capability..if u get a 7900GT its like getting a x1800xt with somewhat less feature..both will be overkill for me as i currently have a FX5200 :confused: i wont even notice a 20FPS diff..

to be true i m used to 25FPS :o(thats the max my card can offer in many games) so anything over even 50FPS will be great for me... :D n i kno both r capable for that...but i still want the best
FYI i will get this with a opty 170(or maybe 165 but most probably 170) n DFI Ultra-D n a good Gskill or OCZ DDR500 RAM sticks(1GBx2)
