If you try the Radeon8500, give feedback. Like both 3dscores by Radeon8500 and your GF3Ti500.
I'm very interested to see how much fps can give the 8500 in emulators, like the FS2002 or the Comanche4.

However I have a Prophet III not a TI and I am extremely happy with it.
And when I am finally ready to upgrade neither the 8500 or the Ti500 will even be in the running.

I hawe the same card Hercules Prophet III , No TI series ,the first DVI/TV out and i am happy with the card but i must say that this is the first NVidia card that i like after my old Voodoo 3 3K.
I owned before a mX Hercules , Visiontek GF2 GTS and Gainward GF2 Pro 450.
I love the 2D on the card and the picture quality look's better than others GF3's and i allways loved the care of Hercules with hardware . Before i first installed the card i look the card for about 5 minn. and the i was very impressed with the Bl Orb , Thermaltake Heatsinks and everything on the same blue collour.
At that time it was something to see this stuff on a card by default .

I'd benchmark the commanche 4 demo....but I don't know how...plz read my benchmarking 101 post....I'm tring to get a huge list of benchmarks done on my computer....but...I played the commanche 4 demo with the latest betas....and the game runs like a dream in 1024x768x32 full details/max effects...and I get no slowdowns....Quote:

Go to www.madonion.com and see the highest 3dmarks. Look which card gives the highest scores. In FACT, in the top20 there are 17 8500's. Is it a fact or not?
Look the Sharky's review on Radeon8500 and you'll see that Radeon gives higher 3d marks and comparable performance in Q3A. If you add that using anisotropy in the 8500 gives very little performance hit( while the Ti500's may have even a 50% or more) then its clear enough which card gives overall best performance/quality in OpenGL.
I said the GF's give texture bugs in S3TC mode and its true. The sky in Q3A is crappy enough for me.
Radeon's Truform is very simple to be implemented by game designers and improves the image quality by a large margin. Add the smoothvision( look at Tom's reviews or anand's). the anti-aliasing is at least identical.
Look various threads that have been posted here in sharkyforums to see what most users suggest when someone asks for a decent 2d card. Most of them suggest the Matrox cards followed by the Radeons.
Same for the DVD playback. ATi uses the iDCT algorithme. Any nVidia card using it?
ATi's giving standard tv-out, dvi. Is that FALSE? Several nVidia's based cards(with the Ti's) dont give them. Look the specs
ATi's giving good driver support overall. Is that wrong? ATi has updated its drivers more than 3 times ( new beta's just released) giving optimised performance and higher frames. Although the DetXP's considered to be "free update" I've seen a lot of problems when using them with my GF2 GTS. And i'm not the only one. Even nVidia itself said they had experienced problems in many games.
8500's cheaper than the GF3Ti500. Is that FALSE?
As you see, I do use FACTS. Of course any post even the most adjective can be seen as a subjective one. No probs in that. But it's no need to bring facts to you, I've already post them in my 1st thread.
The only way I can agree with you is considering that reviews themselves aren't consist of facts, but being just simple opinions. In that way, I raise my hands
