You could try using one of those hard drive coolers. You know the ones that convert cd bays into 3.5" bays. Man, personally, I would never put my drives in a bay w/o a fan on it. Only thing I have in that top cage is the floppy drive. And if I ever do use it for a hdd, I'll be taking that floppy out (probably put it in one of the cd bays with one of those Antec easy usb things. And put one drive in the cage with one of those drive coolers that are screwed on the bottom side of the hdd. Yeah, I'm a freak about hdd cooling after my 2 60gxps died, but that was probably be cause that model was pretty unreliable (shoot, I had them cooled with my 39 cfm sunons.). Anyways, that's just a bit of advice. Keep modding dude, it's pretty nice.

Not really, Antec cases have the door, and if you get an HDD cooler like mine, you'll be locking it out from really sucking in air, which would kind of remove the purpose from it. However, you could always get something that doesn't take air from the outside like the Vantec HDD cooler. :)

All you have to do is take the original covers, cut off the little sides that stick into the case, glue in a spacer between the tray and cover, and put a spacer between the cover and open button so that you push the corner and the drive opens. All done in one sentence too!

Pudad, I did have a HDD cooler on the front of the Black & Gold Case. I like the Vantec's in the PIC (Blue) thanx CrawlingEye for the Link. Looks like I have more modding to do.. :)

Do you have an Antec case? I do. There is a vent on that door. You know where the little arc is, that is the vent. ;)

Its not the clearest PIC's but I see the HalfLife Logo and whats his name with the Crowbar. The second photo is the side panel sitting on his bed. If you don't see that then you need to borrow my my monitor.

Ice did a nice job on the Half Life Mod.. I would love to see a better pic. :)

You guys have some nice modded cases. I've had an acrylic sheet and tape for my mod sitting in the closet for the past six months or so. I'll get off my butt one of these days. My case has ledges above the drive bay sections, and I might install a couple of LED's in them to shine light on my drive bays, rather than having a shadow cast over them.

You have to admit that aluminum cases are where it's at. Just a plain Lian Li with rounded IDE cables and wire loom looks great.

A point of courtesy: if you reply to a post that has an image in it, please remove the image tag from the post's text so people don't have to wait for the same image to download twice.

Coca and I were discussing how it would work, and we couldn't think of a way (he was thinking of an Antec or Chieftec-looking-like-antec case), but I guess that would work then. :)

I did a really BAD job on the paint, you can see the layers :( I dont know why, I just suck I guess..

If you put a few coats of clear coat down and buff it up would that help the layers?? Well I am glad you saw the post, I like the H/L MOD.:cool:
