yeah I haven't added part 1 yet...it's a lot to upload so I'm trying to do it when no one's on...
I still got to add that along with cbp1 and some recent maps like dm-redkin...ons-dinora...and of course my maps :)
You can upload when nobody is on.. But the new maps wont take effect until a ini reload....
Ping of 130-150 for me. Any INI tweaks for this?
there is a severside option for it, thickrate, however this should not be higher than 40 imo. there is something in ini too but that doest change much. (a least not 100ms, wich in your case has to be the diffirence btween a good ping and a *^&%$^@ ping)
edit: i tried my ping too. its about 140 and im in europe, not bad at all i guess =)
I was ge4tting under 100 when I test the server. I have to let you know what it is after I finish reinstalling everything and get UT2k4 back installed (I had to reformated my computer last night a major pain)
It has been really erratic for me one time i was getting 70 with just me in the game next time 30 with 4 bots. Then with people it was over 100.

Not to steal the show away from Points, but his server was just down and I was playing on this one. Very very insane number of people, seems to be good for those times when you need to make lots of things die asap.

You probably made a mistake in the ini... Does the server generate a log file.. That would usually indicate why it went down and wont reboot :)
I don't recall making any ini changes today...I made one yesterday that limited the onslaught scoring requirement to 1 but other than that...nothing that would affect how the server runs...
it's back up...I was uploading volume 1 of cbp2 and I stopped uploading a map half-way and it must've screwed up when it tried to read that map on startup...

the server will be extremely laggy from tonight till the morning...I'm uploading the rest of cbp2 volume 1...along with some select maps from the first cbp...my own maps...and some favorites of mine...
in addition I'm deleting some of the maps that no one ever plays to reduce the map vote clutter and provide the server with a good mix of custom and stock maps...
No one is on :(
ok giant update...I installed anti-tcc to prevent cheaters and message spam...I am also removing these maps from the list...they're all dm maps and no one really plays them so I'm just reducing the clutter to make room for the better maps out there...

I've played most of these maps and they are extremely well made and pretty fun...vote for them :) the server will be extremely laggy tonight and probably down while I upload these maps as well
Are you ever going to do a Mod Server? Red Orchestra perhaps? I would love to play some RO with you freaks.
maybe...I don't like ro but maybe another mod...I really want to keep the server a non-modification server but I might add mods that are like dm with twists...say jailbreak or checkmate...I don't know though...I started working on levels for the Echoes of Glory mod (http://www.eog-mod.com/) - a civil war based mod...and whenever we have a release I might convert it for a few days but that's a long ways offQuote:

pointless: maybe u know about utcomp. its a mutator for compatative gaming in ut2k4 but it has a nice option, version 1.6 has a ping comparising option and it works, maybe u want to add utcomp to your server so people with ping 100-150 can play normal too =)

o got on for a little bit last night but no one was on. someone came on and invited me to a 1on1 server with utcomp (i think my skin was too dark) and he proceeded to beat me like a rented mule.
Some clan guy was on there on Saturday; I think that I was pretty much a moving target for him. 90% of the time I didn't even see him hit me. I suck at DM.Quote:

I had a pretty busy weekend. I was up late playing Dungeon Siege Friday, Saturday I recovered and Sunday I worked on all the things I should have finished on Saturday. LOL! I'll try to get on sporatically this week. I got on the server last week when no one was on, thinking I could just to get reaquainted with the maps, then suddenly four people joined and spanked me. I was just playing Assault.. But then I changed to a map I never played... God do I hate those flying Assault maps!
