I am thinking it might just be time to get a new Xbox and get the FF Edition Elite. I can't seem to find any picture of it online so I am assuming it is just a regular white case on it, but since some of the special edition bundles like the MW2 one had some ugly art on the case, I figured I better confirm. Anyone know for sure?
Fully open up /= gets good.
I've heard that it's kind of like a drawn out tutorial up to that point, not in that it holds your hand but that it just keeps slowly giving you more of the battle system to play with until you hit chapter 10 or so, which is when you have access to everything. Somewhere around there (not sure where since I'm trying to avoid spoilers) is when you go from Cocoon (starting point floating city) to Pulse (the main planet). So, without having played it myself, the impression I get of that point in the game 24 hours in is that it's like the old Midgar->World Map transition in FFVII, but 15-20 hours later. It's not that the games isn't good before that point, it's that everything gets a bit more open at that point.
Blank white case. Saw one in best buy.
*Edit: Unboxing video on youtube. Only thing that isn't plain white is the faceplate.
Just got the PS3 version for $40 shipped off Ebay. Figured for that price I'd give it a whirl.
I've grown to like combat, I'm just anxious to be able to put together a party myself, or at least have a full party. I'm really liking the game, like qmul said it's nice to have a FF game on the next gen systems even though they're old already......good to know that the game opens up eventually
One thing that I like about the game is the datalog, I like having a quick built in reference to where I am in the story. Then when I put down the game for a little while and forget where I am or who someone is, I can look it up.
Sidenote, I think I like Snow the best, I like his music
