How can you compare if you don't run 3DM2K1 at default settings?Quote:

And I guess they decidedto reopen this thread huh ?
3dmark2001 won't even run if you don't have at least 128mb system ram, not to mention 16mb vram.Quote:

(I think they give you that much just for trying...)
and no if you cant run at least the first 3 games tests, you don't even get a score.
Yikes! Now there's a score! ;)Quote:
Good luck findin anything in this mess...
Anybody have results for a system similar to mine? Id like to know how my compares/ what it should be running. Specs and score in sig (no overclocking whatsoever).
holy crap, 2ghz + 4600, breaking 12k isn't hard now huh.Quote:

Another in a stream of endless posts...
I'm running a 1ghz Inspiron 8000, with only 16MB of video RAM, so suffice to say 3dMark won't even work. Here are my PCMark2002 scores, in case anyone might wonder how laptops compare:
CPU: 2551
Memory: 1364
HDD: 297
Thanks!
see sig...
well with your system i would expect in the 9xxx at least. mabey high 8 but i would be personally expecting 9xxx. butcherbeard is running pretty much a top of the line system and he is getting 12xx in 3dmark2001. thats pretty damn high, lol. i mean, even on my system right now i would expect 9xxx.Quote:

*edit* and that is with tweaking and mabey some ocing too *edit*
OK, I tried the 27.42's, 27.50's, and now the 27.70's.
I first loaded the 50's and had this score.
9810
The problem I had with the 50's was in playing UT. When I started the game it would just fill the screen up with staright lines.
I then tried the 42's and had a score of 9527 something like that. Sorry didn't post that result. All seemed well but I wasn't happy with how slow they seemed. UT FPS dropped way to much but no crashes.
I then loaded the 70's up after getting the WinRar shareware crap.. Whats up with that can't use .zip extension like all the other driver versions.. I had a few problems loading them since it was an excutable to load the drivers. and after a few restarts I had them loaded. I noticed I had to adjust my screen to fill the monitor. UT Played good. On my first test with 3DMark 2001 it crashed some vxd file messed up game 4 go figure. I rebooted and tried to go back into my BIOS and NADA, Bios wouldn't show up just blinking curser with blue strip at bottom. I powered down for a couple of secs and same thing. I cleared my BIOS and then it worked fine. Changed all the settings back etc. Just got home started up and went straight for the test. Here is my score 10045 .. OK much better especially with no overclocking and serious tweaking going on. OK off to play UT and put it to a real test..
OK done playing.. Drivers have problems still. Random freezes in the game. Offline & online.. Had this same problem with my ProphetIII & 23.11 drivers. Switched them back to 21.81's and problem went away. Crap now what...
7444
Thats with stuff in the sig.
Very happy with my system not even a KT266A but its the
Older KT266:eek:
Check the sig. for my compare link
About 6500, all stock with the 6025 betas on Win2k. Not too bad for the "slow 8500". I heard the new drivers (6043) are a lot faster, but I am not too sure about the compatibility with the DV series, since they are not official.
The best part is that I can capture to MPEG1&2, MJPEG, DivX, MPEG4, and HUFF with great quality at all kinds of resolutions and bitrates. All of that and it is still a kicka$$ 3D card!
now i can actually post my score....8080(with radeon p4 2ghz..good jump from 529 with my p3 500mhz)...lol
yay! the reopened it. thanks sapasion.
LOL I beat everyone here:
879
My whopping TNT2 Ultra w/32MB and P3 850/100MHz on a ABIT VA6 motherboard rules you all!
I'm hoping to build a new system sometime in late May/early June.
Hmmm that doesn't sound right for your setup...here's my measly XP1700+@1540Mhz with a GF3Ti500Quote:

Do you have to download something to perform this test, or does it come automatically with your graphics card or whatever? If it needs to be downloaded, then where from? Thanks.
