512 megs of Mushkin ddr 2100 ram
Leadtek GeForce 3 winfast TDH
Gigabyte GA7-dxr MOBO
2 maxtor 80 gig ata 100/7200 rpm drives in raid
Soundblaster Platinum 5.1 card
Im using the detonator 27.43 drivers

Hi I wanted to know how to exactly test a video card to know how its perfoming so that I can post scores.
my system is:
Intel PIII 1 Gig cpu,
Intel V820a motherboard
512 RDRam (PC600)
9 gig Ide HD, 18 gig SCSI HD
Sony 40 something X (don't need a RW cause thats what my other unlisted system is for)
Samsung 6x Dvd drive
Matrox G400 Max 32 MB SGRAM with upgraded Bios and Drivers from Matrox site bios was updated as of January 2002 and Driver was as of February 2002 (not bad for an old 1999 video card powerhouse huh)
Creative Labs sound card
3com network card

Os Win XP Professional
Office XP Pro
AutoCad 2002
3d studio max 4.2

ouch

with my 433mhz celeron, with a Diamond Viper 550 (designed for windows 95, w00t). I got an outstanding score of 376 . I couldn't even run about 4 of the tests, and some of them, I swear, I only got 3 different frames of animation for the whole short video. Well, I'm upgrading soon to a new computer anyway.

fine fine... i'll post...
i just installed new drivers yesterday (finally) and boosted my mark by about 50 (on a tnt2). Got 869 on a celeron 566 with diamond viper v770 non-ultra...
i'll get my new machine soon. Who needs a GF4... wait till the GF3 Ti500 goes down and get that... you can be sure all games will run perfectly.... for now...

second grade vid cards for me.... well, 4th or 5th at the moment but that will change

CRAP!!:mad: Just realised nvidia uploaded even newer drivers. Now i'm gonna have to go through the process of downloading, installing and testing again...

i don't think it matters what drivers you use with a tnt2 anymore. nvidia stopped optimizations for it probably ~2 years ago.

You'd be surprised... like i said, from 23.11 to 27.52, tested a few times each, went up by about 40 - 50...
