BH-5 should be able to get much higher than 200 fsb
yea except my bh5 sucks (@&$&$&, hopefully ima get some pc4000 for christmas. And I know it sucks cuz I tested it on a bad that does 230 (proven with ocz ram) and it was stuck at 200 tooQuote:

wow congras mike on 39k! I see you finally got your bh5 working(different ram or mobo?) less than 900 shy of the big 40k but its really gonna need ~100MHz more cpu power for 40k. Maybe if you mod your prometeia and lower the temps more you just might pull that off? Otherwise youll need to sit tight till fx57, r520(x900xt?)pci-e and nf4 but then 40k will be a joke, youd aim for 45k :D
mikead is sending his unit to pc ice to get it R507 modded with a vapo evap i think. and sabrewolf PC4000 is gonna be horrible on a NF2 board since timigns is what matters on these boards so try to get some better BH-5/6
Thanks TB, and I agree, 100 MHz would be about right. lol, still the 2nd MSI, and some old Mushkins I've been trying. After seeing both sets of Dimm slots suck in the first board for BH5, and the first set of slots on this board suck, I didn't expect the 2nd set to do any better so didn't hurry to try Dimms 3 and 4 out. I finally moved the Booster to Dimm2 and the Mushkins to 3 and 4 and that was it, there they went.....flaky boards man, totally. The funny thing is, the worse the slots are for BH5, the better they seem to do for my TCCD's and vice versa, just messed up stuff with these boards.Quote:

And yeah, I may go ahead and get this prommie mod'ed now. I'm not sure that would get me those 100MHz, but the FX-55 puts a hurting on it now when it's over 3GHz, and I know my next cpu, whatever it is, is only going to be harder on it. Trying to decide if I should do it now or nearer to my next upgrade though. Dang holidays! :D
yea strange mobo, even putting ram in different dimm slots helps, I should try this with my corsair value in case it ocs higher in the 2nd pair of dimm slots. as for getting the prom modded how much does it cost and what if it gains you 90MHz and you are like 50 marks shy of 40k? oh the horror
its probably gonna total around $340 - $370 with what he told me hes gonna do
getting the prometeia modded costs almost as much as one, might be better to buy another for your gpu and break 25k :D hows 180-200fps in nature on a 9800pro sound? ;)
tbird pelase be quiet u dont know what your talking about. 200 fps on a 9800? you realize he'll need to get it modded to even reach 40K. and with new cpu's coming out his mach 1 wont be able to handle it. Please dont talk about phase change especially if you dont know the difference betwee na 2 stage and a 3 stage cascade
I thought you were talking about getting your own prom modded, jetforce. your 9800pro can do 160fps in 3dmark 2001 in nature for 23k marks. you dont think slapping a prometeia on your card will gain you more fps and 3dmarks? I said 25k might be possible then
no becuase it'll need a vmod to get any higher even if theres a prommy on it
jetforce, what did you use to mod your vga silencer? also, BH5 is really expensive :( Im thinking bout some tccd to get 240 2.5-3-3-11, IIRC when I ran my mem at 220 2.5-3-3-11 it scored higher than 200 2-2-2-11. Maybe ill get some ch5, good for 235 2-3-2-11 with over 3v. I think I need a volt mod as my 9800 non pro isnt making it past 420/320.

got 19.664
athlon xp mobile 2500+ (needed 1.94v to get it stable  only need 1.719 at 2.4 ) at 2.5 12.5x200 stock 1.8GHz
zalman ripoff cooler 90mm 2500rpm
ABIT an7 bios 17
512MB Kingston bh5 2-2-2-11
9800NP at 420/320
vga silencer on high
anything else needed  You guys think with better ram I could break 21k (pretty sure i could break 20k with better ram)
My ram can't work 1:1 at 230 Mhz, not even with 3-4-4-8 and i managed to break 21k.Quote:

I think the limiting factors would be either the cpu or the graphic card.
btw is it possible to bios mod a 9800np to pro (editing the clock speeds)?
If it worked you could get a few points more.
yea, my cpu is limiting me, I want to go mobile 2600 for 2.7Ghz but I am BROKE. Btw all the speeds I benchmark at are prime 95, memtest 86 and game stable so its not like I bench with unstability, I could prolly bench at 2.6 but, its unstable in prime 95. And fsb does help, i remember benching 200 2-2-2-11 and 220 2.5-3-3-11 and I got a good 300 extra points, and the timings were loose. Tccd generally has tight timings until 220-225 fsb, and 2.5-2-2-11 until 240ish which is what the limit of most an7 boards are.Quote:
