tweak that win2k 100% and youll find a possible 1k marks faster than winblows xp lol. xp sucks the big one at most things, especially gaming and 3dmarking. I game under win2k and enjoy higher fps :) Use the apic tweak, it works especially well under win2k. be sure to use codered's a64 tweaker and disable un-needed services. 26k will be cake for you, 27k should be doable. I will try to catch you with my 9800p if the vga silencer im getting helps alot, I probably need at least 500/400 clocks. Nvidia is considerabily slower in dx8 it seems, also they are more cpu hungry.

lol since when is an improvement considered suffering? :p yes ati has been slipping with their cat 5.2 and their x850xt cards are unimpressive, they are slower than the x800xt clock for clock due to lax ram timing. I hope atis drives improve alot when r520 comes out ;)

Most unecessary services are already disabled. I wonder how much of it is due to

-directx 8.1 versus 9
-completely clean system with nothing else installed

Even 1000pts is 4% on a very old program. I wonder if 03/05 would be higher as well? I'm hoping to post 30k this Sunday :) I would try that A64 tweaker with only 1 stick but the TCCD chips will be here Thursday. As it is my memory is so maxed out that any changes lock up the machine. I don't even think I'm prime stable. All I do is run it for 2-3 minutes to see if I'm in really bad shape.

We are not all running 9500's or Ti4200's :D I'm seeing plenty of people listed over 30k with 6800GT's and close to what my CPU is running now. Only the top ones seem to have a higher GPU clock. With LOD I should be about 28k right now in 2000. You don't think the extra memory bandwidth(265x10 vs 216x11.5), A64 tweak and an extra 150Mhz CPU would handle 2000 points? Not to mention my 6800GT will clock 20Mhz higher GPU and 40Mhz memory. The 400/1.1 I run is for everyday use. The only reason I'm not running 2.6Ghz right now is the temperature kills me. Watercooling will fix that.

Why is it you dont think Ewitte will break 30K with a 3700 claw?
I'll put my money on him to break 30K with some good memory
and good cooling (and LOD) -looks like Flutie98 will hit it sooner(and then some) though with that gpu of his. Just my 2 cents.

and here we go, havnt updated my score in ages but thought this one was worth it :D like to thank esh for his tweaked win2k install and gpu mem timmings, and tbird for telling me my scores are to low :D Ive completly maxed out my absolute crappy cpu, it will not do a single mhz above this :( darn 05 winnies, and my gpu wont do above that with out a vmod, and since im not really a bencher thats a no go

Playing around while waiting on those TCCD's. I turned it into an actual graphics benchmark :D

mmmmm all those 30k scores makes me wanna shoot for one but ill need to get like 500/400 from my 9800p and a good clocking Venice(ships april 4 accroding to amd) if I cant clock my 9800p or cant fit the silencer, ill have to settle for 27k with this softmodded 9500 but thats still gonna get me top 10 on sharky 3dmark team and still be ahead what most get anyway with their 6800s and x800s ;)

To be honest i don't think a 500/400 9800p with a venice would do 30k.
(i'd love to be proven wrong ;))
