I've heard all of the other models are quiet compared to the LS. IMO, the LS is not that loud for what it is. The compressor does make a pretty audible hum, but I guess that's to be expected.

They all seem a little expensive. Maybe I'll just work on tweaking my water. Its actually starting to perform a little better. The house got as hot as it ever will yesterday and it maxed out around 57C after hours of pegging the processor. It was probably over 85F. At around 80F the SLK-948 made it to 61-62C. With the AC on during the night it only made it to 52C folding all night. To be honest if I can arange things so that everything is in the case and I can close it up, both noise and temp might drop.Quote:

To be honest, I wouldn't bother with Vapochills other than the LS, they simply aren't worth the money considering you can get a prometeia mach II brand new for about $500.Quote:

Where? Both the Mach II and Vapochill XE are about $750 at frozencpu. I would be interested if I could swing $300-400.Quote:

Theres a few used condensor units over at the XS classifieds... also ebay has a few last time i checkd.
I would have saved that 28.8k score then do re runs, if it goes higher, save again, if not, keep running till it goes higher or crashes. I always save as soon as one run is complete then do re runs of tests, especially car low. I see you improved alot with win2k and LOD, you used to be stuck at 25.6k however I think you may need a Venice to break 30k, those Nvidia cards just arent so great in 2001, your dragons are barely above a good clocking 9800pro/xt and even with LOD your nature is less than an x850xt. Youd also break 30k and gain performance in many games(high res, aa/af) with ati's offerings.
as for vapochill at $750, lol bad price you can get a used prometeia that goes down to -30c as cheap as $400 or a good one -50c for $600.
The webserver our team site is hosted on has been hacked. Hopefully all data is intact. I'm on it. Sorry guys. Frickin web hosts can't secure their servers better. This is unacceptable.
Ok it's resolved. Damn script kiddies.
Also, I dont have as much time these days to swing by the site and check it out so this might be old but........GOD DAMN MIKEAD_99!!!
NICE SCORE....frickin 42334. Amazing man. Nicely done.:):D:)
Would a X950 work ;)Quote:

more than that seeing ati is better in 2001 than nvidia. I do not know how well the x950xt will do in the cpu tests or how good drivers will be by then but if its anything like the x800s and x850s and if we assume 6 tests will remain the same then thats 1k marks per 50fps nature. I saw a reviewer breaking 40k on a 4.3ee and my math says 600 nature(gpu was still stock!) would your cpu be as good as a 4.3ee? If yes then you too can break 40k with an r520
Well, what video card was he using... probably a high end ati or a sli solution.Quote:
