28992. Such a tease  Highest in ORB. At that point the score kept going down by ~ 10pts per run.

If it were not for heat I could have got that 2.75Ghz stable :D A few of the tests ran but they eventually kept crashing out. The test above was 2.63Ghz. If temperature was controlled how bad would 1.8v be on a 1.55v stock A64? I was over 60C again with 1.72v. I'm skipping on the Vapo. Too much money. I might just do water right and ditch the cheapo kit. Using a heater core, swiftech 6002 waterblock and 1/2" tubes :DQuote:

a good water setup will probably be less than a kit, depending on which kit you were getting, and it will certainly perform better... just don't start spending too much money or it will be better just to get a used Mach I.Quote:

on a strong water loop you will be thermally ok to run 1.8v but personally i didn't see any gain from anything above 1.75v or so until i got down below 0C.

I appreciate it but it's under control.:) Just a little problem with the last web host and their security and responsiveness to a script kiddie.
It's all up and running on the new host now and I'm simply waiting for DNS to change. That's why we can't update.
I'm gonna give it 3 days just to be sure.
If anyone cares, the old host was www.hostony.com and the new host is www.hostexcellence.com :)
I was at 2.63Ghz. I'm not sure exactly. It was about 60-62C. About what I ran before the water. Thing is I needed a few more volts. Whats the best Tref. I had it set to 166 1.95 at one time. I'm not sure how much of a difference it made.Quote:

Not too much. I'm looking at this. Its close to just a modified Chevette heater core. So aboutQuote:

$45 heater core
$45 water block
$40 pump (only thing I found quiet enough was Hydor L20 or Eheim 1048)
+ probably $50 for the tubing, reservoir and accessories.
~ $190-200
I'm hoping to try to keep it below 25dba but the pumps don't all really list that specification :) I'll keep the NV5 for the video card. It actually runs lower now with cooler case temps anyway. It was sitting at 49C yesterday morning (51C now with the heater on)! And thats with a volt modded BIOS.
I'm approaching stable at 2.75Ghz 1.72v. Do you think it would gain anything going to 1.8? I guess all I can do is try once I can.
Eric
there is no set value iirc thats the "best" just simply fidel around with it and see what happensQuote:

that setup looks ok except the heater core is a rip... you can pick up a 2x120 bonneville core at your local auto zone for $20.Quote:

Except that I can't weld and that is the price with the shroud ;) Any ideas about using two of these in series (one behind the CPU, one after)?Quote:
