You have the only 9100 in the database so you have the #1 score on Sharky's Extreme Team with a 9100!

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
Decided to clock my card up to 355mhz core, and 330mhz memory.. and just do a "dumb run" at 3.5GHz... and I scored 18727! hahah... that's insane.. I wouldve NEVER EVER VER thought I could score that high. And thats with the old cat drivers.... software urnning in the background.. and an old windows installation... wait till i tweak this sucka! I would LOVEEE 20k out of a 9700PRO! :D
You can do it!:) I first broke 20K with an i845PE board at 3.485 ghz and a 9700pro.Quote:

You can definitely do it!:)
well, my card is essentially an 8500, and my score is higher than any of the 8500s in the database, too.

I got the golem joke. I was just saying that you had plenty of time IMO.:)
Hey Vertices, I'm gonna make a try for 20k again (you were right, I can't let it go just like that;) ) A coupla questions : what should I use , dx 8.1 or 9.0a? Cat 3.4 or 3.5? What causes my system to reboot when I'm running the test? Could voltage increase for cpu make it stable? Conversely could I hurt the cpu by increasing voltage too much? Is my ram timing too agressive (5,3,2,2)? And always the problem of not being able to post results due to 'cpu speed variation' Thanks!:)
mikeysg. have you checked out Pyro`s 3D Mark Guide, if not click on the link in my Sig. it might have some tips that might help you get a better score.
DHOH!:o I've plum forgot 'bout that! My bad, thanks for the reminder!:D Will check it out now.;)Quote:

If you have Windows 2000 you want to use that with SP2 and DX 8.1. If you do not and only have windows XP, you want to use it WITHOUT SP1 and only with DX 8.1.
I'm not sure which cats are the best, I haven't tested that much. I do know you will gain a few points with 3.4 instead of 3.5.:)
Voltage increase can help stabilize a system to a point but ensure that you have good cooling.
Ram timings can vary, you just have to experiment and find out what works best with your system.
Getting a high score is easy, it's wrenching that last 5% of your high score which is really hard and takes skill, dedication, and patience.:)
Vertices, is there a way of getting SP1 off of XP, if it comes with it. I have XP Home ED and it come with SP1.:(
I have 2 versions of XP HE, with with SP1 and the other w/o (one oem and the othe an upgrade;) ) You mean to tell me that XP HE w/o SP1 is better? I WAs running my previous tests with Cat 3.5 and XP + SP1 + DX8.1, this is not optimum, right? Optimum = Win XP w/o SP1 + Cat 3.4 + DX8.1? Why not with SP1?
SP1 slows down your system just a tad. We have verified this extensively.Quote:

DX 9 and SP1 together drop your score by about 100 points.:)

I don't think you can if your CD has SP1 slipstreamed onto it.:(
Thanks, I might just go back to Win98SE for the fun of it and see what I can get with it.Quote:

But anyway Congrats... I know how excited I was trying to break 20K and every benchmark after that I scored an extra 300 points with tweaking :D
However I know that if I follow some advice that is given to me.. I would be over 21K :(
I just overclock the system using the BIOS/Rivatuner and run the benchmark in the same order from start to finish... Sigh...
Oh well... when I get around to installing my new hardware I will see about benchmarking again... However I might spring for another MCW50-T since mine was lost somehow
But its great being over 20K with all air... My setup is completely air at 207xx :)
Ignore those fools, don't listen to them! You score is good enough!(and within striking range, HeHeHe);) :DQuote:

What the heck is that?:o (You must remember I quite new at this, i.e. I'm a noob:o :p )Quote:

I'm going for air cooling only as I'm afraid of condensation from prommies and leakages from water-cooling systems. I'm waiting for the new Zalman to hit my shore before trying any new! It looks awesome! :DQuote:

The MCW50-T is a water cooled PELT for the video card...
I had a Zalman HP-80 on my older 9700Pro which I sold since it didnt work with my Canterwood board... So I just picked me up a nice 9800Pro :D :D Best upgrade I have done to date :D
The new Zalman looks pretty nice... I might get it if I dont get the MCW50-T again...
I had to return it cause the pelt on it didnt work :( I guess I am happy that I noticed that before installing it and frying the video card
But good luck, I know you can push your hardware even more!
This is of some concern to me as you can see from my sig, I have a P4 3.0C and a Canterwood mobo.:( I have experienced no conflict/problem.:) Should I be concern though:( . Agreed the 9800Pro is an awesome card, I like ATI's cards so I stuck to them.;) BTW, the price of the 5900Us have dropped in my neck of the wood, only $100 (local $) separate a 256mb 5900U and a 128mb ATI 9800Pro card.:)Quote:

Have you tried to play any games or run 3DMarks??? My KNXP with my 9700Pro would crash and reboot or just hardlock...
When I swapped it out for the 9800Pro... All the problems went away.. But the board worked great in my older i845PE setup...
