Sharkyextreme.com 3DMark Team

Well, I've been considering this for some time, and with a new influx of hardware coming my way soon, I feel this is the time to make a change. For quite a while, I've been running 3dmark under the SharkyExtreme name. I started out with about 10k on a 9100 and was pretty close to last place. Through a lot of learning, mostly at this site, I managed to climb to the top of the ranks on more than one occaision, but you may have noticed that it has been several months since I've posted an update, and since posting that score I have yet to be bumped.

Sharky is a great community filled with helpul people, and I've had a great time here, but the time has come for me to move on. As of right now, I'm stepping down from my #2 spot on the team, so if mikeysg or vertices would be so kind as to delete my entry in the database, I'd appreciate it. It's time for some new guys to have a chance at making their mark.

I'll be sure to check in here from time to time and see how things are going. I hope the team continues to grow and thrive, and I'll see all of you around. Keep up the good work.

well i've quit benching and i'm moving back to air maybe water. i'm selling my old mobile and prommy so i cna buy a A64 and some klipsch 2.1's

Thats a good decision, but that does not mean you need to quit benching:D

i'd rather not spend all that time into benching on air when the only person i can own is tbird =( because no one else has an 9800 anymore:(

Ordered a 3700+ san diego ;) Any s939 w/AGP recommendations? I'm stretching it with the CPU/MB upgrade. Don't want to have to replace the VC at the moment. My only justification is it should cost me less than $150 after I sell off what I have. Plus I get to use DC again (probably with better timings and clocks).

Today i'll buy better case fans and the material needed to do the vmods :).
If my card doesn't die i'll probably beat your 01 score and maybe your 03 with a bit of luck.

How would a Sapphire ATI Radeon X800Pro PCIe be? Do the extra pipes usually open?

Oh, thought you were talking about agp mobo's... i dont really know much about the x800pro's, but if you wanna take a top spot on the team you will need more firepower than that.

I wondered why you were selling your barton and prometeia and I see why now. your upgrading to a 3000+ Venice which on air would crush your barton on phase change! This might finally be your chance to beat my 9500....9700 score! You probably wont touch my 26.7k score I got with my 9800p and winny which ive since sold.

x850xt? I'm just playing with the idea of selling the 6800GT and getting something with a PCIe board. The Nvidia cards seem way overpriced for PCIe. Plus there is no way of getting my screen to run full resolution with Nvidia's drivers. ATI at least gives you an option to disable DDC.

Its also in the 3dmark team but once my venice comes and I bench it with my softmodded 9500, this 9800p score is getting removed. I am going back to the 9500 category and frankly my 3dmark 2001 beats yours. Lets not argue about games, I still beat you in 2001 ;)
