I don't know about the game but wow the website is cool as hell!
After some 42 hours I finally beat FTL on normal. I used the default ship, but cloak + boarding party made the game so much easier. Such a great game. I'm going to have to play the advanced edition now.
It can be unforgiving sometimes, but for the most part you just have to adapt to what the game gives you. Like if you like to do a boarding party strategy, but you don't have the crew or you don't get the teleporter then you have to take whatever the game gives you.
Put off starting Suikoden 2, but I have been playing Wild Arms 2. Also started throwing in a game or two a week of The Binding of Isaac lately.Pretty much this. Some runs will be easier than others due to the luck factor, but as you play the game more and more you start learning how to play the game better and better, what seemed like complete luck when you first started playing turns out to be more skill based than you thought.
Beat Driver San Francisco and Skylanders Swap Force. Both good games. Not a big fan of arcade driving games but Driver was pretty fun and had a neat 70's vibe to the way the story was told even though it was set in modern day time period. Swap Force was pretty cool. Didn't have any of the other characters except the ones that came with the pack in. Found a good deal on it for $17 so thought what the heck. Liked be able to basically make new characters by swapping their bottoms and tops. Also, could upgrade bottoms now too; not just whole character upgrade like in the past. Right now, playing Skylanders Giants (my son had it), FEAR (360 - already played PC a long time ago) and Sniper 2.
Also....forum is d.e.a.d. I'm sad.
I started a new job. I have almost zero time for the internet these days. :(
I'm too busy playing games to post lol
In the middle of Risen 3 at the moment and its a lot of fun.
I was thinking of trying to get replays done of The Longest Journey and Dreamfall in anticipation of Dreamfall Chapters releasing next week. Already put some hours into TLJ but we'll see how I feel about the marathon-ing it when I hit on some of the more nonsensical puzzles those (types of) games are known for.
A shame it has taken this long to get a new entry into the series
Just beat Shadows of Mordor. A pretty great game with some flaws, but solid none the less. The nemesis system is really fantastic and I hope other games still from it.
I just beat Shadows of Mordor as well. Awesome game but very disappointed in the ending.
I beat Destiny. It was good. I think I'm done with it for a while.
I seriously need to wrap up Skyrim and the Witcher series.
Finished Risen 3, took me three days and I really enjoyed it.
I'm just kind of floating around right now waiting on Sunset Overdrive. I did play the demo of Disney Fantasia today though and I might pick that up as it seemed pretty fun and I have a wife and a 3 year old daughter that I might be able to get to play it.
Finished The Longest Journey. A bit better overall even than I remembered, though the writing got a bit too verbose at times.
Started Dreamfall last night. Graphics looks surprisingly good for how old they are from the hour or so I played, but where you can see its age is in things like the facial animations.
I finished Alien: Isolation last weekend. An intense game for sure. The devs deserve applause for succeeding in creating an atmosphere similar to that of the first Alien movie.
Occasionally, it was a bit repetitive, but I'd say the fans finally got the Alien game they deserve.
