I have got to have the weirdest stats on the team...
I dropped a couple of WU's today because my desktop freaked out, yet it says I submitted around 20 or so. Hmmmmm.

You have system instability. I accrued around 10-12 WU's the same way. F@H would DL a new protein it would end early since the vcore was inadequate in my case and then I'd get the stat of a WU even though I never completed it. If you have the GUI it will tell you how many WU's you really completed as opposed to the stanford page which lists every WU which finishes even if its not completed.Quote:

Try raising your vcore and or backing off on your OC
so the individual stats are finally up!! sweet! :) unfortunately they are updating right now, so i guess i will have to wait. it also ticks me off...we've been having power troubles today so i lost quite a bit of work time since my comp shut down. this sucks...
How do you look at your individual stats?
edit: Duh forget it, and wow i jumped 5 places... where did that come from? Looks like i wouldn't be in the running for 1 ticket. Well lets see here, I joined on like the 9th, so thats 472.87 points in like 11 days, I'll easily have 1000 by Xmas, so please ignore my ranting...

this kind of sucks, though. i'm staying right in between speedy and lone, but in about a week i'm going to be going home for thanksgiving and i can't leave my computer on at my dorm...:( so i'm going to fall behind...this sucks... :(
Well.. looks like I'm up to folding with 4 CPUs.. too bad they're all really slow. :( I'll probably add F@H on a fifth comp tomorrow.. Let's see if that helps my rank. :D

It's strange, it will fold for 2-3 days just fine and then one of the logical processors will start dropping WU's. I reboot, and it's fine for another couple of days.Quote:

Yeah sadly it seem our team production might dip a bit during the holidays :( I guess we better recruit some more cpus ;)
I've got about 4 1ghz G4's that should be spare over the holidays. I'll possibly dedicate them to the cause while the centre's not being used. Should come up with a few more WU's. :)

Do the old Xeons (non HT) fold well? I should be able to pick up a couple of 1.5's for under a hundred squid and get a little folding farm going.
Does anyone have any info. on how well Xeons fold? I would have thought the extra cache would help them out reasonably well.

I found out a little something today. It was pertaining to my laptop and the need to log on with different credentials several times a day, but it should be good for network systems too.
If you run F@H as a system service, it will keep folding the same work unit no mater who logs onto the system.
1.7 Xeon is faster than a 2.0 Northwood. 500 Xeon is way faster than a PIII 500.Quote:

Mother boards for Xeons are high, and voltage regulators are outrageous.
