Because nothing bad ever happens in any other country. :rolleyes:Quote:

edit: the quote was something Williams was talking about aspiring to be the best cornerback in the NFL, but first he would have to wait for that guy on the other side of the field to retire [Champ Bailey for any of you who dont know]
These guys have to learn to be careful leaving the clubs, I guess. (Hamlin, last year). Any word on if he was talking smack at someone?
nothing will be released about it for a couple days so its just a waiting game now. I just watched the Denver PD conference and they cannot release any information quite yet. He was in a SUV limo and 3 others were shot as well, with several other witnesses. It looks like the shooter has a very good chance of getting away with this.
I heard that there had been some sort of altercation in the area, but he wasn't necessarily involved with it. Also, Javon Walker was in the same car but was uninjured.
I can see this happening in Oakland, even L.A., but Denver?
Sorry, but I've got to bring up college football again, since between the Texas Tech game the other day and the RIDICULOUSLY good ending to the Boise State - Oklahoma game that just ended, I may develop heart problems. :)
Joey Porter was shot in Denver a few years ago as well. I'm ****ing avoiding Denver if I'm ever a pro athlete.
Lol yea i don't know why Denver has this happen it makes us look bad, nothing else that bad really happens here, only very rarely.
Boise State and Oklahoma was a crazy game and the reason why I like college football so much. I missed the Texas Tech though.Quote:

here is the article

Keeping Pendergast was a good idea, though. I'd let that guy run my team's defense.
The problem is they aren't drafting on the OL, which practically everybody knows is a huge weakness for them. Over the past 3 drafts ('04, '05, and '06), they have taken just two centers (both in '04) and two guards, plus a TE who I guess counts for half a lineman. The four linemen were taken in the 2nd round, two in the 4th, and one in the 6th. Compare that to 4 LBs, 3 WRs, two QBs, and 4 players on the D line (3 DT, 1 DE). Green is an offensive guy, they brought him in to have a high powered offense, and they keep giving him skill players instead of building up the line. I always wondered why they gave up on the RBs that they had already (including a 2nd rounder in JJ Arrington after only one year) an signed Edgerrin James when the main problem with their running game is the line.Quote:

I really feel for the Lions fans. Win the last game of the year to miss out on the #1 pick (not that I hold that against the players), Matt Millen is apparently staying around, and now you're hiring Joe Barry, the Tampa Bay LB coach, as your defensive coordinator. I don't know what kind of coach he is, really, but I know he's Rod Marinelli's son in law, and that tells me enough about the hiring. :D
Raiders draft Quinn, he pulls an Eli (he needs pampering like Eli, plus o-line issues like the bolts) and the Raiders end up with some scrub (again) and the cycle repeats itself.
Seemed to work out with the Chargers when Eli didn't want to go there. :DQuote:

A couple of NFL coaches were fired on New Years thats gotta hurt. You celebrate the new year and then you're fired. Not that it was a surprise but still.Quote:

More news on the Darrent Williams case: Javon Walker was in the limo as well, uninjured as said. Williams was shot and killed. One 21 year old girl was shot in the head they are still deciding whether or not to take the bullet out. One other person was injured but not critical.
The OWNER of the SUV that did the shooting has been in jail for the past 3 months and is still there so it could'nt have been him. The shooter/driver/accomplisses are unkown and may very well stay that way.
Yea I have to admit I feel bad for myself too. Frickin roody-poo organization. I told my wife before the game that I knew we would win against Dallas. How can I know this you ask? Because the one game this year I don't want them to win, you better believe theyre going to win it.Quote:

And yes Millen is staying. For crying out loud, its like some terrible dream. He's just had his 6th straight season of double digit losses, lets keep him around! His top 10 draft picks have less then a 50% chance of even being on the team after a couple years, lets keep him around! He has the worst record in the NFL over the last 6 years, lets keep him around! Only the expansion Tampa Bay Bucs have ever had more losses in the same time span, lets keep him around!
Arghhhgghhhh!!!
I'm sure their couple million dollar buyouts provide some solace. :DQuote:

My predictions are always wrong so I went against what I really think will happen in a few of those games.
