Joh and Thermo, I've updated/inserted your respectives scores....outstanding work you guys. Thermo, you've bumped me off Top 10 for '01.....thanks a lot!:p :D John, you've succeeded in convincing me that a lappy like yours would be a sweet portable unit.....lookin' at a fully trick-out Dell 9300 myself, but haven't done a thing coz I'd really wanted an A64 lappy. Oh yeah, your cards are listed wrongly simply coz I ain't got a 6800Go Ultra/7800GTX in the VC section, will have to wait for Vert to include these.:) Damn, I work too hard.........IF ever I'm in the US, I'm gonna hit each and every single one of you guys for a cold brewsky.
Edit : Grats you guys, and Thermo, you've managed to put your P4 EE into the top 5 for '03 and '05. ;)
I don't know if it's possible to overclock this laptop, if it is then it's probably not a good idea, it has some pretty heavy duty cooling already.Quote:

John
Thanks for posting them for me. If you ever get to DC be sure to look me up, then block out a few days to recover.Quote:

Hi everyone.
I just built my new rig, and was looking into the 3DMark Sharky Team. Sorry if these questions will be annoying as you might be getting thousands of them. Ok so, first of all how exactly do I join? I checked the home page of the 3DMark team, but all I see is rules, no actual 'click here to enter your details and join' button.
Secondly, about the details I need to enter. Do I need to have my CPU and VGA overclocked to join the team or is it not necessary?
Thirdly, I have no idea how to check what my stock core and video core are.
And lastly all I need to do is download the Futuremark programs in order to post my results.
Thanks in advance, and sorry for the annoyance!

Then you just need to put a link to the team's page in your sig.
Simple huh? :D
3Dmark2003 and 3Dmark2005 will tell you all the specs you need, including your video card speeds, that's how I got mine.
John
Kappa, John - thanks for the info. And that's all I do, just post everything here and I'll get listed on the 3DMark rankings? But I thought people had profiles there and stuff. Oh and what about 3DMark2001? Can I do post some results from there as well?
So I suppose I don't need to have my CPU and VGA overclocked since no one replied to that?
Thanks for the info so far guys!
First question: As far as i know, yesQuote:

Third Question: No you don't need to have an overclocked system :p
Definitely no overclocks needed, my scores are all completely stock although if you're wanting to get up the rankings you're going to need good overclocks.
John
Hehe once again, thanks for the info Kappa and John! :)
Alright then, so once I get my internet running on the desktop machine I just built I'll simply post all the results. I suppose each of the 3 benchmarking programs has different results, so all different scores. Well then, expect me to join in soon.
And John, yeah I know I gotta o/c it in order to achive some better results, but I'm still wired on whether I should o/c now or a bit later.
Anyhow, thanks guys!
Hey Sex-Machine, (or would you prefer Mr Sex-Machine? :p ), you can simply post all your scores....'01 to '05, put a link to your 3DMark scores, put a link to the team site in your sig and I'll insert you as soon as I see it. It's really THAT simple! :D Lookin' forward to seeing how far you can push the 3700+ Sandy/x800XT combo.
