Exactly why I think they'll be good next year, even with draft picks aside. They're going to gel sometime, and they seem pretty young.Quote:

15th out of 32 teams? I'd say that's pretty ave...Quote:

San Diego looks really good this year. Being a San Diego native for 26 years, I've seen them be great and suck. I had season tickets when they went to the super bowl in '96 and I can honestly say this current team would destroy that team. Now if they only had this defense during the Air Correal days...
Plus, if you look at Palmer and Bulger compared to Jake Plummer...well, easy to say they are not much of a matchup agains Plummer. Once the Broncos running game is stopped is when we suck, bad.-look at last weeks Raider game, our running game was nonexistent, and then nothing went right for the Broncos on offense after that. LT will run right through all of our little guys up front too.
The Broncos have had some great teams throughout the years. Unfortunately this year's team isn't one of them. This is the worst 7-2 team in the league. Their defense is really good, but only one injury away from being mediocre- and that's Champ. OMG that guy is everywhere. I'm not saying Cutler is the answer, but they definitely need some stability at the QB position.Quote:

Bolts v. Broncos Article at SIQuote:
"When you play Denver in Denver, you have to match their intensity at the beginning of the game, because they start so fast and they jump on you and they ride the wave finishing the game. Once you get behind, their place is the most difficult place to come back in because their defense is so good.''
The man knows his stuff, because not only have the Chargers been outscored 82-17 during first halves in Denver from 2001 on, LT has averaged just 15.4 rushing attempts per game there, which is well below his 21.9 career average against the rest of the league.
"I know one thing they do well is they know us,'' Tomlinson said. "They know exactly what we like to do, and so they play well against what we do well.''
Yea, thats true LT has never done anything against us, but I have a feeling. A very bad feeling about this game.
This is true. Last year's game in Denver (which I think the chargers should of won) Schottenheimer got blasted by the local San Diego media for not using LT more during the game. I don't remember the stats but when LT finally did get the ball he got good yardage. I'm betting that this year Denver will get a good heaping of LT. Either way I'm looking forward to this game.
I know it's not directly NFL related, but...
Did anybody see the Michigan / Ohio State game? Wow. Not only the biggest rivalry in sports, but the two best teams in college football playing for a spot in the national champsionship. You couldn't script a more dramatic build up.
This town went absolutely nuts.
