It will get the paint off, you just might not like the end results.:D Of couse it depends on what kind of sand blaster he has, I`ve only used the industrial ones.:)Quote:

I dont think it would damage the case right? Its not taking a layer of metal off?Quote:

I dont know what kind he has.. I know he uses it at his job.. So I have no clue... I just know he has access to one *lol*
I hope it works out for you, I just keep getting these images of the case looking like a car after a hail storm. :) Although, it might be ok, if he is the one doing it. :) Edit to add: the one I used, I had to wear protective clothing and a blast proof helmet and glass.:D I sand blasted railroad box cars so that they could be painted, well it was a summer job and it paid well. :)Quote:

hey colossus since this if going to be your first modding job why don't you get a really cheap case and practice your ideas on that one that way when you work on the server case it should be a snap
don't i repeat do not sell i want to see what you do with this:D
1 horsepower is 745 watts, roughly. There are different horsepower scales (electric and water are different, strangely) but they're all about 745.Quote:

but anyways that is an awesome case
You both suck, shelling out all that cash. !!**YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES**!!Quote:

Actually, it's the opposite. Ash gets on people who think they need giant psu's. Like they'll get a 500MHz better O/C, 150 more 3DMarks, and the 12 dollar memory they found on eBay will run at 2-2-2-3 timings because they got a big psu.
(Besides, we all know it's the XIDE Pads that get you that stuff)
(I wonder if he noticed I went out and got the 550 Antec......)[
Okay, seriously... What in God's name are you gonna stuff in there that'll suck up 550 Watts, much less 800? A Particle Accelerator? :p
Hmmm...more like a vacuum, champ.:p
nope...won't harm the metal at all.....well i guess it would if you left it on the same part for like 30 secs....but otherwise no...:DQuote:

Well I got bored today and I picked up some 400/800/1500 grit wet sanding paper :)
I am going to lap some of my heatsinks :)
This should be fun!
EDIT
laping laping laping, I make you out of sand.. laping laping laping A laping I shall play!
Why did that case have such a big PS anyway?? Do all servers usually come with Big ones are 2 smaller ones? Another Question to Consider.. How Hot does an 800W PS get and How Loud are they? It does seem to take up alot of the top part. Will the Size of the PS mess up your Modding Plans??
What that looks like is the PSU cage. It's a cage that you plug 2 hot swap power supplies into and then it connects their outputs into a single set of connectors (it has a backplane that accepts the various voltages output by the supplies and then runs the connectors off that)Quote:

That way if one dies, you just pull it out, put a new one in, and you don't even have any downtime at all.
True, But I dont believe it is hotswappable :(Quote:

I have to take a look.. But it does come with Dual 400w Antec PSU :)
Why I think it is not hotswapable.. Is if you look at the back of the case picture.. There is only one input for voltage.. Which is NOT on the power supply but on the case mounting below the powersupply...
I am very interested to see how that is... I wont have it until later today or tomorrow to know for sure...
If I dont like the over 1HP powersupply.. I can always pawn it off :D
How's that make it any different? It just means that they would get both AC in and DC out hooked through the backplane. Which is actually the better way to do it.Quote:

They may not be hotswappable, but I'm betting they are.
