They had a one night stand and ended up with twins. Then the Daddy ran off with a younger one.

Remember one important thing about this monitor before you buy it planning it use the 2560 x 1600 resolution........
You must have a video card that drives Dual-Link DVD-D (Digital) output. Dual-Link is a single cable and connector. Don't confuse Dual Link with Dual output (i.e. 2 DVI connectors). It's just one DVI-D connector. Also make sure it is -D for digital (not -I). DVI-I connectors are analog and not compatible. Research this carefully before buying. It's a thousand dollar monitor.
Otherwise you cannot drive the monitor at 2560 x 1600. You will only be able to get 1280 x 800 in Single-Link DVI mode.
It's really almost like 2 monitors stacked side-by-side. But with one cable and a panoramic view.
This is also true for the Apple Cinema 30 inch HD display when hooked up to a PC.
The Dell is a great monitor for sure.

I'm crazy for Dell monitors apparently.
Since the last post, I swapped my 3007WFP for a 3007WFP-HC. Also picked up another nice piece of hardware to play with:

Next to a 3007WFP-HC, and a 2007FP behind it.
Sorry about the horrid white balance. Three different CFLs make for nasty auto WB.
Subjectively out of the box, the 2209WA is BRIGHT, and is cooler than the WFP-HC (to be expected due to different backlights). I have to set it to zero brightness.
Lag feels the same, looks no worse than my 2007FP S-IPS on first impression.
Text is CRISP on default settings. The DVI cable that comes is rather cute because the connector and cable are both half the size of the DVI-D that I use on the 30".
The base is a step back from the 07 series as I feel like I lose more desk space because it's a solid rectangle now.
I'm liking the all black casing, though it'll show dust far more easily than a silver base.
This isn't it's permanent home.. it'll be off to the other half's setup to replace a eye-straining too-bright 2005FPW.
for sure using 30 inch montors for movies and games is awsome ,
but for desktop work isnt it a bit too large? i mean if ur close u cant focus on the whole area , and will get ur eyes tired after a while?
I never used 30 inch or more for work , but 24 inch is huge enough and some times i have to look (scan) for things on the edges ...
