Well, unfortunately no. The fanboyism will still be there, Doom 3 and games based on that engine are OGL, not D3D, and shader efficiency still comes into play.Quote:

I think they said it was a rendering of what they 'hope' DX10 will bring to graphics. So no, I don't think it was real time.
Yeah I just read that yesterday on the actual forum. I wouldn't be surprised if they could actually render like that real time though. And I dunno why, but I prefer the water in the DX9 shot, maybe I'm just acustomed to it =/Quote:

Starting off with the water: You notice the reflections use the same map as the dx9 version does, its just a texture slapped over the dx9 water.
The mountains: looks like they actually turned the bloom filter and some type of depth of field effect on.
Sky: the dx9 screen shot was ******. I assume that since it is a flight simulator you are going to be flying through those clouds, untill i see a shot of those clouds being interacted with I shall remain sceptical.
That is all just one possible explanaition, albiet a very harsh one. I sure hope dx10 is as good as they say it will be.
