I am TWolf79
I'm PointlesS76, but I don't think I've ever seen friend requests get through when I'm in a game. If I'm in the menus then it'll work.
Also servers will be down till 3am est: http://blog.gobsn.net/en/index.php/2...nce-announced/
:( On the plus side, some guy in the EA forums said that the PC version has more players than the both console versions combined.Quote:
This messages is to inform you that EA is currently operating a maintenance on their master server, which should help come to terms with the bugs experienced by many. This maintenance is already taking place, and in order to help speed up the process, EA asks to close 40 000 slot to all providers.
If you want to help their technicians out, who have been working day and night since the release of the game, we ask you to consider the option of stopping your servers through your game panel, until the end of the maintenance *.
Note that this is not an obligation, but rather a voluntary hand that you may choose to give. We all hope that this will put an end to the current issues.
*End of maintenance: 3:00 am in America/ 9:00 am in France
Actually servers seem to be up now!
Typical EA, they usually over estimate server maintenance/updates, an old trick to look good.
just finished the game. it took me 3 days.
I think aobut 2 or 3 hours per day. though some parts I died alot. there was a part that took me about an hour to clear because i died so much.
anyway. single player I find it more fun overall than Modern Warfare2 and it have some funny lines because of your team mates.
I did notice a few bugs.. but more like odd behaviors
1) for some reason when the helicopters stop to drop off enemy soldiers, hitting them with rockets doesn't destroy them... even if I hit them two times
2) the "truck on fire" part... I shot it with a RPG and nothing happened... but I spray a few shots at with my gun and it "stopped it" .. . .
3) some fences I can spray it with my machine gun and it would break apart but when I hit it with a RPG it doesn't break.. it needs two RPG shots..
I do have to say I didn't really notice any of these wired oddies or any idiot factor with MW2.
on a side note. BFBC2 did not crash on me once.
If I have choose between the two games. I would choose BFBC2 over MW2 in regards to Single Player.
Now to start playing Stalker Call of Pripyat
I am officially over the damage in this game. I keep getting killed at a good distance with a single shot from pistols yet 4 shots to the head with an assault rifle or LMG doesn't kill.
Unlikely you are probably taking damage from squad members, they are usually nearby.
Even with FF off and upon spawning? Unless there is a delay between spawning and action, I spawned several times to die to a single shot.
There were also times I would shoot a guy 4 times with the white flash confirming the hits where he would turn and fire once with the pistol killing me.
I will say this, the beginning weapons are weak, as I'm leveling up I'm scoring more kills, but there are still plenty of BS kills too. The M60 is the best weapon I've used yet..but it sucks ammo quick!
That is the reason I don't want to buy this game. I tried to play the first Bad Company a lot too, cause everyone said "once you get higher leveled the weapons get better, just trust us." So I bought it, they didn't get any better, and regret buying it. I know there is a hardcore mode, but I could see that turning into a sniper match. It's usually impossible to see where snipers are when I don't have one too ugh. But a little part of me still wants to try it out...I'm easily convinced sometimes. Hmmm...maybe I shall spend my tax return on a pc...hmmmm....then you guys wouldn't have to hear me b**** all the time about not having one...hmmmm......
The game is getting fun for me now, I was a competent bf 2 player, havent played that in years.
Running and gunning is not going to work in this game, it is not as ealistic as lets say flash point but you still need to play smart.
Practice with all your unlock combinations, your latest unlock is not necessarily the best for your play style.
Spot enemy's best thing you can do for your team, second when you see a medic die, pick up his kit and revive him.
I haven't played a really competitive online shooter in years, I got slaughtered. Something tells me that if I start playing this seriously, I'm going to loose a lot of time. A lot.
I played for a couple of hours tonight, I'm starting to get my skills back. I really wish that I could run my own server (FTTH), but apparently you can only rent them.
I need squadmates :( Doesn't seem fun joining a lone wolf squad.
I also need to work on my squad tactics seeing as how this is my first Battlefield game.
This is my big thing. It seems like I am the only one ever spotting on my team.
I still need to get the revive option for the medic, but I hate the guns which seem more of a pain compared to beta. If you pick up a medic kit do you have whatever that person had or only what you have unlocked?
