Now butcher................You know I can't reveal all my secrets;) Or else how would I keep my lead? I will tell you this, it is a fresh install of XP pro(corporate version), I only have my benchmarking software installed and the 28.90 drivers with the refresh rate fixed. There is a guide floating around.....forget where it is....that tells you some tips on getting your 3Dmark score higher.
If you dont mind butcher, tell me your testing methods such as exactly how do you go about getting your benchmark.
I will say one thing. I dont just run the benchmark normally. I have my own special order that I run each test in. (big tip) ;)
It's more fun when you tell your secrets; That way you get more competition ;)Quote:

I have found that the nature test loves to be the first test run.
How do you select what the order of the tests are?Quote:

Each time you run a test it saves it in memory. So on the test selection screen you uncheck all tests except nature. Then benchmark. It will say at the end that you did not run enough tests for a benchmark, but it will remember your score. Now without closing 3Dmark down go back in and select a different test and then benchamrk again. do this till you run all tests.
Your score only comes from the games though so once you get your score and are happy with it then just run all the remaining tests just to make your benchmark complete;)
As we all know....3Dmark isn't all about who has the fastest hardware. It's taking what hardware you have and tweaking and optimzing its evironment to give the best possible score.
Wow someone should make that their sig. That's a great contemplation on this contest or whatever you guys want to call it. It also gives hope to those with the lower end systems. Beautiful wordsQuote:
