I started Banished on Hard. I don't know if it affects the difficult of the conditions or the fragility of the people, but it started me off with meager rations. I had a huge die off around winter 3 before I could get my fishery going. Normally I would have restarted, but I pushed through and it took a long time for my people to recover but it was really fun.Quote:

I did medium with no disasters just so I could learn the game. I also had a lot of people (mostly kids) die in winter 3 or 4 after my initial food ran out. Varric made the game a treat to play.
I played Witcher 1. It was good but my biggest complaint is the complete lack of items. There are no weapons and you don't get armor until the very end of the game.
I have Witcher 2 but have not played it yet. I wouldn't bother getting any of the Witcher games from Steam. Both 1 and 2 and the upcoming 3 are all available on GOG.com
