Idle is around 60C and I've seen up to 81-82C. Someone else mentioned it possibly is a little high because the HS is just starting to get warm. Not to mention the fans never speed up.Quote:

These cards just pump out way too much heat. It adds a lot to the water temp and the overclockability doesn't improve that much. I got practically nothing when I dropped the water down to -20C on my X1800XT (read about 5C idle and 20C load though). Also these cards certainly are made to take 80C as that what everyone gets with stock cooling.
I just finished replaying the Tomb Raider legend demo with next generation content and AA on @ 1920x1200 and it was very playable. FRAPS says somewhere around 35-120fps pretty much constent with an average probably in the 50's or 60's. The image quality even with like settings are amazingly in some instances. Even 2k6 looks a lot better. This is a very good card for enabling HDR and AA even at my native 1920x1200.
