also be sure to note that i had to lower my oc on my vid card becase of the stupid doom engine dosent like my nice 620/1000 and i have to run at 600/950. ill up it when i bench more with 3dmark as it dosent seem to mind a higher oc. thanks for you time and patience and holding my freakin hand through all this ;) sometimes we all need it haha

I know nutz about OCing an AM2, even though I have a 4200+, but I leave it at stock speed (coz I have it in my living room, and it's not AC'd like my bedroom). You've got a great OC outta that GTS, 2ghz on the mem :eek:.....think I'd better consider ATi Tool or Rivatuner coz CCC allows for a max of 850mhz (1700mhz) on the RAM with Overdrive, I'm sure Rivatuner/ATi Tools allow for more. Anyway, my system seems to be stable now, so I don't wanna run the risk of screwing the pooch by killing my cards/CPU/mobo if I go overboad with the OC (with accompanying vdimm/vcore/etc adjustments). Maybe you can ask eshbach or ewitte for OCing advice, they know their stuff.....me? I'm afraid I'm just a Padawan (like you).....:o
Edit - Perhaps you oughta DL '03 and '05 and give 'em a spin.....you should do pretty well with 'em with your present setup and OC.;)
i was a little shocked that i even got a 300mhz on the 6000+ just from reading a little bit about how this specific chip uses it ram divider or something like that, alot of places have noted that this specific chip dosent oc very well. i cant hit 3.4 though, it just give me a blue screen right before it hits windows and quickly restarts itself. ive tried upping the cpu voltage a little bit, that didnt work. i triep upping the HTT voltage and the HTT link voltage and the ram voltage but nothing seems to work. im afraid to up it too much because i toasted my last mobos bios doing this :o i had a 700mhz oc on a 3000+ on air cooling. it was up and stable for about 3 days and i went back into my bios just to do a once over check to make sure everything was good and then my bios puked on me. i was upset lol. the video card i think is done with the oc. like i said, anything with the doom engine dosent like it higher than 600/950 but everything else dosent mind 620/1000. i tried pushed it to 650/1050 and on the first test on 3dmark06 i got the crazy lines across the screen and a hard freeze.....didnt like that too much, i lowered it back down lol. its great though because my vid card temps never go above 65c on full load. even when i run prime95 and 3dmark at the same time just to stress it. my case stays pretty cool. although im not sure how much higher i should push my cpu, it idles around 32c which isnt bad but at full load it can hit 53c which i personally think is the highest i want to go. my 3000+ idled at 26c and 48c at full load with a 700mhz oc. 53c seems pushing it. your 2900's run pretty hot stock dont they? i know the older ati card run really hot, ive been working with my buddies comp and his 1950 pro runs around 68c idle but i know those run really hot anyways. he got a new case which really helped but still thats pretty hot! but anyways.....Quote:

well here are my 03 and 05 results.......the one in 03 is not what i expected, i really thought it would be higher. 3rd place for me on that one. looks like i hit 2nd place in 05 :D
