Congrats, good work, nice OC. If I remember correctly, I was running 1.4125 Vdimm. CPU never got over 55C as I recall. The GTXs were running about 75C. I'm just sitting around waiting for Nvidia next gen cards. Enjoy the ride on top; fame is fleeting :DQuote:

I'm glad you're waiting. I was fully expecting to be dethroned by the end of today, lol.
Oops, I posted incorrectly. My Vcore was whatever Intel recommended as max + .02v due to mobo Vdroop.Quote:

I'd be more than amazed if you'd boot your system with 1.4125 Vdimm, if it even was possible to set it that low.

yeah
DON'T BUY CRUCIAL BALLISTIX
but the patriot is still running strong at 1200 MHz
Ahhhh....OK, I usually buy Corsair anywayz.;) As it is, my system is running pretty fast, but I have a hankering for a change, and I'm looking to score a QX9650, did consider the QX9770, but was saved in a moment of sanity. The QX9650's looking good, but it'd be of not much improvement in games for me though, what with my Q6600 @3ghz, but I believe it'll take me to #1 spot in '06. I'm dying to break 18k-20k in '06.......still kinda hard for me to justify it to myself. So, I'm in the midst of a debate with myself over this....:oQuote:

Been looking thru some benchmark comparisons between the QX6800 (basically a Q6600 @3ghz) vs the QX9650, seems that there's not much difference between them at 3ghz, but the QX9650 can be OC'd easily enough. Anywayz, I was a little bored, so I rerun '03 and here's the result -Quote:

Aw crap! I took the deal and should get the QX9650 by Saturday. Was told this sucker can do 4ghz on air!
Edit - I'm beginning to have 2nd thoughts, I'd love to get this CPU, but I definitely love the 1000USD it's gonna cost me even more!:D
BTW, reran '03 again with the new Cat 8.4 and scored slightly higher......89720,with everything at the same setting, let me just provide the link to make it official -

Last benchmark on my old Q6600 before getting the QX9650 this Saturday. The benchmark was run with the exact speed/setting as the old I'd done for my '03 run. Being one of the laziest people alive, I'm just gonna post my score and link -
17089 (Woot! Finally broke 17k!!!)

Will install the new CPU and run some benchies on Sunday.....
So I'm guessing my (very short) reign will be over on Saturday, huh... :(
