You're right, I don't come out of college and dictate terms. That's because I'm not the brother of arguably the best player in the league and the son of a guy who managed to get to the pro bowl on one of the worst teams in the league. Obviously, though, Eli does come out of college and dictate terms. He said he didn't want to play for SD, and he wanted to go to NY, and guess what, he did. Why doesn't anyone ever talk about New York's role in this? Nobody ever blames them for being enablers. Geez, they gave up a 1st, 3rd, AND a 5th for a QB that was basically rated dead even with Rivers, and not too highly above Roethlisberger. If not for them giving up so freaking much, Eli would still be in San Diego, and the precedent would be set.

Did Eli ever actually publicly say that he wanted to go to NY? I know it was speculated all along, but did he or Archie ever actually say it?

Why wasn't he speaking out about the Raiders or Cardinals, who picked before NY? Either team could have taken him, or there were plenty of other teams that I'm sure were thinking about trading up to get him. Why did he only talk down San Diego? There was obviously something specifically there that he didn't like.

doesn't matter who you are, the homosexual spawn of joe montana and dan marino doesn't dictate terms... you ain't squat until you prove otherwise - basically they let him do what he did because they thought he would be something he isn't.... and now anyone who wants to choose teams can do exactly that.

when that draft came along san diego had arguably the absolute worst o-line in football, he was terrified that he would be taking huge hits nonstop and this freaked him out and thats the reason he talked down on SD and none of the other teams... he is a wuss, always has been, always will be... the chargers have his number, marriman wants his *** ....eli is a marked man in SD.

You're wrong about Eli being a wuss and being afraid to take hits. He got the crap knocked out of him last year and the games he played the season before that. The Giants o-line was pretty bad 2 years ago. Watch some games before you open your mouth so you know what you're talking about.

O yea, and can the refs ever get a damn call right in the nfl. That pass to plax that was first ruled a fumble and then overturned to an incomplete pass was obvously a catch, and he was down. And then that long pass to tim carter was an obvious PI.

Viarox, I agree w/ all that except for one thing. Plaxico is a friggin stud receiver. He alone has made Eli Eli Oh look better then he is by making these insanely amazing catches. I wish he was on my fantasy team. That boy is money (when eli eli oh isn't being the crybaby wuss that he is of course - sorry had to get that last jab in).

I think it's just utterly ridiculous to say that you shouldn't even voice your opinion on which team you want to play for. Ultimately, you go where they tell you to or you sit out, that's really the only choice you get. He would only be hurting himself if he decided to sit out, so who cares? It's not like he was the only good player in the draft, or the only good QB in the draft. If he cares strongly enough about not playing for your team that he's willing to take an entire year off, then he's obviously not the player you want anyway. He won't be happy there, and you won't get your money's worth.
