You're right, I don't come out of college and dictate terms. That's because I'm not the brother of arguably the best player in the league and the son of a guy who managed to get to the pro bowl on one of the worst teams in the league. Obviously, though, Eli does come out of college and dictate terms. He said he didn't want to play for SD, and he wanted to go to NY, and guess what, he did. Why doesn't anyone ever talk about New York's role in this? Nobody ever blames them for being enablers. Geez, they gave up a 1st, 3rd, AND a 5th for a QB that was basically rated dead even with Rivers, and not too highly above Roethlisberger. If not for them giving up so freaking much, Eli would still be in San Diego, and the precedent would be set.Quote:

Why wasn't he speaking out about the Raiders or Cardinals, who picked before NY? Either team could have taken him, or there were plenty of other teams that I'm sure were thinking about trading up to get him. Why did he only talk down San Diego? There was obviously something specifically there that he didn't like.
