I know... I will get that going (Foobar) soon... Also, can I just "upgrade" the drivers via "update drivers" option? Or do I have to uninstall and install Kx drivers fresh??Quote:

I've been trying to use Kx drivers but to avail...
I've tried just simply executing the package and install...
I've tried uninstall (SB Live) and then install... but as soon as Kx drivers are installed, no card is detected. :(
Any one out there using Live 5.1 card and Win XP (Pro) with Kx drivers successfully?? How did you get yours to work? Thanks.
Sorry, I can't help with KX drivers too much, but I DO have some ideas for you to try.
First MAKE SURE you uninstall ALL of creative's drivers for your card. Then reboot. windows will ask you if you want to install the new hardware, just cancel out of all of that. install KX drivers. reboot. let it install your new card. Viola!

Midi is purely sound card dependent... but in the end, I don't know as I never had to try it. :) Will let you know later...Quote:

just tried out the kx drivers as mentioned somwhere tied in with foobar and kernel streaming etc out putting on my orgy 1 .

holy crap...I was using itunes for my internet music stuff and switched to foobar...not only is it more stable and doesn't studder when using some cpu/memory intensive apps but it sounds a crapload more better...and this is just with internet music...I tried some of my cds and the bass sounds more powerful but not boomy and I swear there's instruments I never heard before...thanks for the guide...

I tried this software out and its great! I don't know that I have it configured properly as of yet...
For some reason, foobar won't let me open up the kernel streaming dll.
I get an error message each time.
I'm using an M-Audio Quattro soundcard and the latest version of foobar. Any suggestions?
