Windows Longhorn and Drive Letters

I like the idea of having a nice, single letter being able to reference a drive. Helps keep long file names/paths a bit shorter, no?

I would think that Disk 0, Disk 1, CDRom 0, DVDRom 0, and so on it just as effective.

Perhaps you may be right on that account. Guess I'm just used to one nice drive letter. Time for me to suck it up and deal with change, I reckon'. :)

Not really, I wouldn't find it as easy to refer to drives in that way, I really don't see what's wrong with driver letters, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
