Good stuff. Really good stuff.
All I am going to say is:Dodge Charger 1968 RT.
Thanks guys!!!
Much appreciate the feedback!
I'm headed down to Austin tomorrow, and the Austin Modders are having a meeting. I am bringing my Saitek keyboard with me, and will be swapping out the blue LED's that light the keyboard, with white LED's.
I'll then be working on the painting of the frame and any graphics that I decide to put on it.
Tech-One question:Do you have anything personal against,blue led's? :)Quote:

Everywhere I look, I used to see blue. Just wanting ot proove to people that other colors can look just as good!
Plus, in the case of the BOSS car, blue lighting is nowhere to be found in that machine. Headlights, dashlights, dome lights.... etc. So... to stay true to the theme, I chose white, as well as it was an even swap on the blue (voltage wise) so it will be relatively easy on the swap.
That makes perfect sense,I was just kidding with you. :cool:Quote:

Funny thing... I just spent all day @ Josh's (aka:Zapwizard's) house! I remember seeing this Kingston rig and it is a slick little beast! The guy is just a FREAK at modding (you should see what he has done to his car using a Mac Mini and a touchscreen!)
Problem I have is this line:
"We're looking for a unique, customized rig that showcases Kingston HyperX memory."
BOSS uses Crucial Ballistix Tracers... I have a funny feeling that Kingston is not going to showcase a rig using the high end sticks of a competitor.
Thanks for the link though! I did not know they did this!
If I do get some HyperX for one of my future mods, I'll definately put it up @ Kingston!
No prob, glad to help.BTW is not bad ram at all,I'm using it now.Quote:

Kingston makes a TON of memory for a lot of others too, so they have to be doing something right!Quote:

Crucial actually shipped me the DIMM's in BOSS, so it would be really poor form for me to pull theirs and drop in Kingston's... just for the contest.
I like Crucial too much, they have been very supportive of me, and thir memory has not missed a beat yet!
Maybe on one of the future mods though... :p

(And "No...", that is not me.)
I watched this happen right in front of my eyes... and PoMan (AustinModder) is a FREAK when it comes to rework. Those hands were steady, irons never missed a beat...
But... like I said, *if* you have the tools, the LED's are actually very easy to swap!
Cant wait to show you guys! I already popped the top off the keyboard and I have it primed and drying in the garage! I'll hopefully hit it with Orange tomorrow after work, have the whole thing back together by mid week. (fingers crosed)
Hmm, since im picking up a microelectronics diploma. That sounds like a viable project. :DQuote:

I got PoMan, the rework master over there, to generously donate his skills to replacing the surface mount LED's in the keyboard. No blue for BOSS... the keys all illuminate white now! Looks super cool!
But before I go and put up pics, I took the board apart one more time, and I am now painting the external frame OSHA orange (same color as BOSS). I'll be leaving hte keys the silver that they are.
After I get the paint completed, I'm going to work on getting the BOSS logo on the keyboard, possibly some striping.... dunno yet. Still experimenting with the layout.
;)
