That's because they had "Edge". He was on my FFT and boy did give me some serious points. Well, him and LJ (who I got in like the 11th round :) )Quote:

btw I actually applaud your willingness to stick up for him, compared to most Eagles fans.
Take it easy Snakespy, it was the first preseason game. It means absolutely nothing.Quote:

I'm with you on Lelie....what a whiney loser.... you earn the #1 spot on the field, not through your agent. Cutler is the future, and it's looking bright judging by his performance so far. :)
No intelligent Eagle fans bash McNabb. He is clearly the best eagles QB in the past 50 years. Unfortunately, there are plenty of loud mouth knuckleheads who call themselves fans, but they are just a vocal minority.Quote:

I'll dissagree with you on that clearly part, Ron Jaworski won a MVP and got them to the super bowl too. McNabb is a great QB, but with his injuries I'd have to give Jaws the nod over him.Quote:

A real eagles fan realizes all he has done over the last 6 years, carrying the team with a coach that doen't run the ball, but has drafts linemen that are better run blockers than pass blockers, and one of the worst receiving corps in the game over that span. His accuracy is always put on the spot, and while its not as good as some QB's, it improves every year. He also keeps plays alive scrambling, and just pushing lineman to the ground, and has one of the strongest arms in football.
Put it this way, I believe you switch teams with him and Peyton Manning, and Manning put up decent, but not awesome numbers like he has, and Mcnabb's stats go through the roof. Probably no one will agree with me, but oh well.

13 games in 4 years is pretty significant for a starting NFL QB...almost a full season. He's one of those great athletic players that needs to learn to balance his effort to make a play with protecting himself, a little better.
I think the problem with the Eagles is not mcnabb but the inability for the receivers to get open. He is forced to improvise (run) or force a ball where it shouldnt be. Dont get me wrong, the receivers can catch, but their field awareness isnt the greatest. Defense has always been pretty good. They got more drama over there than Oprah.
Oh and NEVER base a teams output during the preseason. Hell look at Houston. They already won as many games during the preseason then ALL of last season. Mario Williams aint lookin good though.
I dunno man, Cunningham was a stud.Quote:

Cunningham is the Dominique Wilkins to McNabb's Larry Bird. The man was a walking highlight film but never did squat in the playoffs even with a loaded defense. He was a stud in madden though. :DQuote:

Furthermore, his TD to interception ratio is a robust 2.03. Cunningham has a very solid ratio of 1.54, while Jaws had a poor ratio of 1.09.
I think my Bucs are going to contend for the super bowl, hell I think if everyone stays healthy then we can win it.
We got the running game, with Cadillac and Alstott. Simms has matured ten fold, and they say he's one of the strongest QB's in training camp. And our new rookie Gradkowski has been very impressive the two pre-season games. Michael Clayton and Galloway will give our passing game everything it needs.
And our defense, well Cullpepper got owned by Tampa's first team D, without Brooks or Simeon Rice playing! The defense will continue to dominate.
If the bucs don't make it to at least the NFC divisional round, then I'd be very suprised. We will certaintly win the NFC south this season.
If Dallas can keep TO in check, they may do very well. But I don't think that team has enough glue to be consistant all season. I hope that the Bengals do well, because I would like to see them do well. As they've been such a laughing stock up until last season.
Anyways, can't wait for the season to start. And pre-season is joke, they need to shorten the pre-season to two games.
So true! The eagles have played 3 preseason games already, but it is still 3 weeks until the season opener. :mad:Quote:
