thanks people,
don't have a specific time as of yet but.....
because I live in ontario canada, and their studio is in san fancisco
it is to hard to bring it there so they are considering a field shoot right at my house,(maybe)
and here after watching the show for many months daily, trying to get on with a live call.
I still can't believe it.....

Congratulations on the article in the washington post. That's no small town newspaper either. Again, nice work and I look forward to seeing some of your future projects. You are certainly one of the most skilled and talented modders I have ever seen. And from my provice too, even better!

How well does the keyboard work out? From the pic it looks like the keys are just about flush with the surface which seems like it might be a bit awkward.

they are flush, with little getting used to it seems to be fine,
for me anyway. mind you I'm not the best or fastest typer....

yes it is thanks, I never thought it would go that far..
I was getting ready to release drawings for the next adventure, but now it is going back to the designing table for some more revisions.

I dont watch The screensavers, cause I think they suck... But I would watch it if you let us know what day it will air :)

Very nice clean work! I wanted to know more about the webcam and the 4way mirror...

I don't have pics of that at this time,
but I will explain how I did it and how it works.
the power mirrors from a cadillac was used.
there are four cables coming from a four disc motor each cable was attached to back of webcam, sort of like north south west east.
the switch powers the cable movement, each time a direction was pushed it would rotate a disc on the motor and that would move cable which would move webcam.
sorry hard to follow without pics.
it is all connected to a spare power supply.
the motor draws less than 3 amps unless left on for a long period of time or button held down for a long time.
I installed a inline fusable link using a 3 apm fuse to aviod any blow ups.
the only problem I found was that from where the webcam is located there is very little movement needed to change screen shot of webcam, so switch is very touchy.

Well I dont like TSS because the old dude is an idiot! I watched him almost destroy a $4500 laptop because he wanted to remove parts while it was on!!!!

Plus his advice is usually inaccurate and false...

But whatever :D

I like a lot of things :)

But since I am a Cancer I am VERY picky! :D

Yea, Leo LaPorte is not the person I would have chosen to host that show... it seems like he has read alot on the subject, but when it comes to really understanding the subject you have to get a hands on approach.

I dont mean to go offtopic :(

But he did have one of the new Alienware laptops that support an interchangable ATI 9600 or nVida 5600 video card... I think the idea is awesome.. But it weighs a ton... Over 10lbs!!!!

However I watched him show the laptop then closes the lid and flips it over and remove all the screws... I think one of the stage hands told him that he should power it off before he yanks out that card and fry the puppy....

So I would be careful around him...

I really liked CNET on TV... Oh well...

But keep us posted when you will air :)

Nice, but I think that reboot button is a bad idea. I know if my roommates saw that my computer wouldn't be on for more than 10 minutes :o
