I'm still up on you schultz by ~130, which is what i usually am, give or take, i think.:p
for a while you were up over me by 200+ points. now we are less than 100 points apart. must be the gaming! :)Quote:

as i started over in the main folding thread, i'm having some issues getting FAHStats up and running for my systems...
here's a link (second post on page 117) - http://www.sharkyforums.com/showthre...pagenumber=117
any ideas?
*edit* - nevermind, it's workin' now
Okay, this is really starting to annoy me... I have clocked back all three of my systems to stock settings and am still getting errors when trying to open new workunits. Case in point:

It will do this repeatedly, until for some inexplicable reason, suddenly gets a WU it likes and starts chugging away. As I posted above this is only happening when opening new work units, no problems once they start folding. Has anyone else seen this type of error or have any ideas? BTW I have since reinstalled FAH on one machine with the 3.24 first then Beta and am still getting this.
what tags do you have in the shortcut? (forceSSE, advmethods, etc.)
try 3.25Quote:

first chance you get after any WUs you're working on, delete everything and start from scratch.
I have both -advmethods and -forceSSE tags. What I don't get is why it does this sometimes and not all the time. I am still completing and uploading work units so I guess it could be worse, but I really would like to know what's going on here. As soon as I finish my current WU I'm gonna give the 3.25 a try and let you know what happened.
that is really weird. i would say give the 3.25 a try and see how it goes. hopefully that will fix your problem!Quote:

Hypo - which version are you currently using? (3.24, 3.25, 4.0)
reason i ask is, if it's the 3.24 or 3.25, you need to use the -forceasm tag, not the -forceSSE tag (-forceSSE is only for the 4.0 beta)
second, there are some cases on AMD systems where the 3.24 will still not use SSE instructions even if the -forceasm tag is used, so IMO you should be using the 3.25 or the 4.0 client anyway. dunno if that may be what's causing the problems, but it's worth doing anyway.
Edited: Anyone else have a problem, whereas they are only getting tinkers, because they can not connect to the assigned server.
Anyone else having problems sending in WU's lately? I've got two that wont turn in on two different machines.
I just completed a WU around 12:00 EST and it won't send it and saved into queue, but downloaded and a new WU
That's what mine are doing also.
I found out early this morning that my WU I had completed had not been able to send in its results to the server, but instead it downloaded the fahcore_65 and gave me a tinker. I also discovered that my finished work unit had disapeared from queue and I had lost another one for no reason at all. Did any of you get a tinker or have a 65 core downloaded and used instead of the 78. BTW, I am not having no problems sending and receiving WU`s with my main computer at all.
hmmm...i just finished a wu this morning and it sent it in and d/led a new gromac just fine...very strange. :(
Yeah, on one of my rigs I got a TINKER in spite of the -advmethods tag, which was a first for me.Quote:

[21:47:46] Couldn't send HTTP request to server (wininet)
[21:47:46] + Could not connect to Work Server (results)
[21:47:46] - Error: Could not transmit unit 04 (completed December 11). Keeping unit in queue.
Yup I now i have two in queue also, working on a third
:(
i also recently received a 65.
i've only noticed 1 tinker out the 89 WUs i've completed using advmethods...
I might be wrong, but it looks like one of their servers, has gone down and the ones of us asigned to that server have been reasigned to other servers. I don`t know why I had to download the fah 65 core and get a tinker, when I was using the newest core(1.54), nor do I know why when it started running that I lost everything saved in queue. I will know more about it when I finish this 17hr 30 point tinker and see if it downloads another tinker. I wonder, with so many people and computers folding if they are having a problem furnishing that many WU`s.
