Yeah, but that could make your 3dmark score look A LOT higher than it should be.Quote:

i think i can do this
Much better. I'm unable to do much until I order my new RAM.Quote:
I'll still beat you to 10k though. ;)
There was a mention of running the Nature test first, then all the other tests. How is this possible? It is supposed to increase the scores a litte because of the way 3dmark scores. I know, i know, it is cheating... :p
vertices found this trick. Never tried it myself since I cannot run that test with a GF2MX. Anyway, I believe if you manually select only that test and run the benchmark after it completes that single test it will tell you you don't have enough something or other and must run the other tests and it will.Quote:

Well for the first time in a long time I am not ashamed of my 3DMark2001 score. I did create my own little thread on this topic as well. I certainly believe 11K is within my reach. The above result is un-OC'd with 28.32 drivers and a FSB 12-15 lower than I would ideally run.

I'm gettin closer
At least you guys can get 3dMark to run...mine always crashes at the end so I never know what I got. :(
I plan to get a new vid card around 3-4 months. Any suggestions?
How much money you willing to spend? I think Parahelia(SP) will be out by then ... If that is too much for your budget, TI4200 will be cheap, 4400 will prolly drop some, 4600 too...Quote:

3-4 months is a long time if you look at video cards
If I was really you ... I think I might wait for NV30; but that depends on what you do because your card is being outdated
Definitely R300. It'll be out around September. :)Quote:

With my p2 400 and radeon 8500, neithere over clocked I get just above 3000.
How is it biased:confused: Just curious, dunno if you were being serious or not :)Quote:

Yes, yes I know it sucks. https://www.sharkyforums.com/images/.../2005/06/4.gif
Stupid 3D Mark, everyone knows it's biased anyways.

Well it won't last long but I currently do have the highest score amongst 4200 owners with Tbirds and XP
I just ran the test for the first time with a single dimm vs 2 dimms. My score went up about 140 points. The coincides properly with what I have observed in PCMark2002 as well as the Sandra tests
KIA!
( KEEP IT ALIVE!)
12571 and rising thats with my FSB at 208 X 9

If i run a multilpier of 10.5 and FSB at 178 i get around the same score.
this will be my first post in this thread :D

Frankly there isn't much more room. Barring a titanic improvement in drivers I don't think I'll see much more than 11.1K. Still I'm proud to hold the top slot for Tbirds with 4200's :D
6300 with no o/c on my game rig.
You should O/C that video card...you will gain a lot of performance. 1500th post anyone? :DQuote:
