That rally bites. BTW you should not even have the 65 core its the Tinker core and you want the Gromacs. Refer to the How to Set Up/FAQ. Basically you need to add -advmethods to your targetline or consoleQuote:

That and we're still producing over 20K a week less than you guys. For now must remain content as the #1 team outside the top 45 and #2 outside the top 30. We're still growing however and it would not surprise me if we reached your production level eventually.
I think there's generally more activity in this thread than our Folding forum. Though I did get folks going with talk about the AMD Thunderbird core (originally I thought it was the Palomino) not having SSE instructions, and thus running DAMN slow.
We're working our way back up in production as well. A few weeks ago we were at 70k+/week for a bit, then fell real hard. We don't have the membership growth or zeal that you have here though.
I am really wishing I had ~$5-600 to set up a small multi-node Folding Farm.

Yeah no **** it really bites, But I run the the tinker cores if thats what faith hands me.. I'm in this as much for the pursuit of science as I am team effort :) If no one runs the tinker cores no-one can get a good amount of research on them right? I have a brother with a brain tumor so this is kinda deeper for me than others I guess.
That it is. IIRC, our top folder has lost some family members to cancer, thus his hard efforts to help out Stanford.Quote:

great avatar, XP! you should keep that one for awhile. :D
yup, If I had more money I would defiently contribute more machines I'm 17 so I'm not too filthly rich...Quote:

I will be dropping this 2400+ machine to just folding and getting a 2500+ setup soon not to mention the p4 1.6 & PII 450 I have running :D
That still was a really *** deal, why would it drop that WU like that after it was completed?
that is too bad. my father died of cancer. i think it would be hard to find someone who wasn't affected by cancer in some way, whether directly in their family, or even a friend, coworker, neighbor, etc. who might have had it. makes the talk of avatars seem kind of trivial, but it is for a good cause, and hopefully our efforts will bear fruit someday in reducing suffering. fold on! :)Quote:

My brother is still alive but he can't really talk or walk... it sucks but maybe someday all this folding will help somone not have to go through all this pain. God folding kicks so much ***!Quote:

sorry to hear about your brother Foo_909. and well put serotone. i'm finally back and at the crunching looking for cures!
Hell yeah! This one is here to stay for a while, just for Foo_909 and yourself, as well as the rest of the people affected :DQuote:

if we all met in REAL life instead of the forums, i'd suggest we go out and make one toast to those we've lost and one to folding for a cure.
*cheers* guys (and gals)
WildWeasel, I think you hit upon something. We ALL have been affected one way or another by cancer. I'm dedicating my folding to my late cousin Mark who lost his battle to cancer many years ago and to my best friend Dr. Vic Lopez, who's younger sister Mary died in the 60's of Leukemia.
Folding cost each of us so little BUT gives each of us a chance to be a small part of a VERY BIG solution. We can only hope and pray and KEEP ON FOLDING!:)
For my mum. :)
my aunt passed away this summer due to cancer. had breast cancer several years back, was seemingly on the recovery but had a relapse, it got into her bones, just got too tough.
i'm sure most of us have been affected by it in one way or another, whether it be a direct family member, or a friends family member, or just someone you knew of. but that's all the incentive we need to keep this up.
Mine too! We have our fond memories . . . :)Quote:

For my Nan.. Died of bowel cancer 16 years ago, just as I was starting high school. Took 3 years of gradual fading away, horrible to watch, and I'm sure, horrible to experience.
My gran had pretty tough cancer, but an even tougher surgeon :) Got over it when she was 80, and lasted another 8 years. Strong chick :)
Such a horrific thing, cancer. I've seen many good folks lose the battle after painfully fighting for so long... I can only pray no one in my family is affected and do what I can to help find a cure. At this point Folding is a great way to do just that. I try to recruit new Folders as often as I can. I'm glad this has gotten such a positive response from all you guys/gals. Conquer on! :)
i've never been particularly close with anyone who's had it, but i'll continue the battle for everyone elses family and friends. it's not good to lose a friend to any dismal fate, but if there's anyway to help stop at least one of those fates, i'm in.

tomorrow my goal is two things:
1. Catch up on the hundreds of emails in my inbox (yeah, it's that bad).
2. Get folding stats back up...
So the EOC stats page might be back up by tomorrow! :D
*twitch* EOC, back *twitch* up soon? *shudder, fall on ground, roll around, look up at monitor* It's okay, I barely even *twitch* noticed it was down.
I hear ya WW. I'm still thinking end of the week.
Dualie G4 back on line as of 5 minutes ago. :)
though i miss EOC, i'll have to say statman has kind of grown on me also. the visual element obviously isn't as good with no color codings and so on, but i like how everything's all on one page. :)
Right back at ya ;)Quote:
