VC or MC? Or would you prefer Paypal?:p As to your impending vid card purchase, either would be a good buy imho.;) Just go with whichever you feel would give you more satisfaction.:) See, I'm QUITE unbiased about nVidia! Pssst...get the Rad9800! :p HeHeHe! Just j/k!:D :DQuote:

mikeysg, I might even get a vapor chill case if I can get you to send me that much money.;):D I might just get the 9800non pro, because I want to see how nice my games will look with it and see what I have been missing out on.;) Good work, eshback as keep them scores coming.:)
I don't believe in exotic cooling (as I'm afraid of leaks, or whatever , it's just me :o ) so I'm doing everything air-cooled.;) If you are serious about OCing the vpu, try the Zalman ZM80C-HP, it looks like an awesome cooler, stick some small ramsinks on the rams and you'll get something like the Saphire 9800Pro Ultimate. That's what I'm aiming for!;) Actually, I'm not thinking of benching anytime soon, BUT things may change and I might be bitten by the 3DMark virus (when I've replace my NB cooler with a Thermaltake Blue Orb and modded my 9800Pro with the Zalman.;) :) With regards to the vid cards, if they're 'bout the same pricewise, then, go with the card that you're most comfortable with (in terms of drivers, rma (if nec), etcetera).;) After the change in NB and vpu cooler, I don't think I'll be changing anything anymore as I believe my AMD rig would be good enough for the newer games in the pipeline (HL2, D3, Vampire : Bloodlines (runs on same engine as HL2, Stalker, and so forth):) Maybe I'll start turning my attention to my P4 rig (which can support one of 2 versions of Prescott :D )
mikysg, j/k about the cooling. I`m a air man, I hope to have my computer together before HL2 comes out and I expect it to last me for 2 years at lease. I am going to make a try of getting 15K with my 4200 before I replace it.:D As for as putting a zalman on my next video card, I plan on when the time comes to have you walk me through it.:D
Looks like I'll be the guinea pig for the Zalman! Hope I don't screw up the card, then it'll be very costly mistake  :D . I'll be getting my guru, a guy who's really into comp hardware, to help me out, ummm..I'm a little afraid when it comes to my vid card.:o :p :DQuote:

15k on a ti4200 on an amd rig today is a dream, one that is rarely achieved without serious overclockage  anyway when I am done buying yet another ti4200 guaranteed by the seller at over 300/600 and when I oc my cpu more, I will be around 14500 and will let you guys know :)
T-bird it takes a lot more then a good overclocking video card, if you check the data base there are some people in the 14K`s that don`t have as good as a overclock on there video card as I do. Nor are they running their cpus at higher speeds then mine, where they get me is the fact that they can get a 200 or more fsb and a higher overclock on their ram. I am stuck at 180x13 because my Kt400 only allows a vcore of 1.85v and a vdimm of 2.65v. With your MB you have higher voltage then mine, but we still don`t have the agp/pci lock. So that is the reason I am getting a abit NF7-S, that will put me in a better playing field with them. Sorry this is so long.
does anyone know how to make your font smaller in your signature???
Use size=1 then /size to close it... Also dont forget the [] around them :)
doesn't work.. look at sig now.. never mind its fixed.. thx bigC..Quote:

That is true. For comparsions, I am nearly 13500 on 280/560 on my ti4200 and am 14100 on a stock ti4200 at 2.14GHz on the cpu and 186fsb. Now the guy selling me his ti4200, if it ocs to around stock ti4600 speeds, ill break 14k on that alone. more cpu clock will be icing on the cake. as for fsb, I am ram limited and so are you. pc3200 should do 200fsb stock voltage anyway, so this leaves the lack of 1/6 divisior as the limiting factor which the kt600s may remedy, also they have newer chipsets that may be good for around 220fsb. I gain 20 marks per fsb, from 186 to 226 will gain me a whopping 800 marks! This ought to put me over 15k easy on a ti4200 :)
eshbach I updated you.:)
A big thanx to OS-Wiz who put up our first review!! He reviewed the Iceberq 4 Video Cooler. Go check it out in our Review section!! Thanx again OS-Wiz.
Nice review OS-Wiz, I might just get one of those instead of the zalman. I have a questions guys, I was wondering, I believe from what I have read on here, that it does not mattter what hard drive you use with 3D Mark 2003, but does that also apply to 2001 also. I have a 20GB(5400rpm) hard drive I was thinking of fixing up just for 3D Marking.
Your HD is not gonna make a difference in your score.:)
Using a 5400 is fine.:)
Thanks, for the info vertices, that is going to save me a lot of time.
Nice review OZ! If I wanted to write up a review, how can I get you to host the pics?:o
BTW, I will have a 3D Mark score update later today.
EDIT: Was thinking of reviewing an Antec Sonata case and OCZ 256MB PC3500 Basics.
I host the pics on Irydium.net which is where I host the Team Site.
All someone has to do is write a review in word format. Paste your pictures right into the word document where you want them. Then email it to me:
[email protected]
All pics must already be formatted for the web. No larger than 640x480 and preferrably a little bit smaller than that.
Please try to use a good compression so the pics still look good but are not too large in size.
Also, all reviews should be of a high quality such as OS-Wiz's review. If it is not, I will tell you to keep working on it. I only want quality reviews up on the site with photos and hopefully some graphs.
If you write a good review. I'll put it up.:)
Just to let you guys know, I got around 250 more points, by going from xp home to Win98se. If you need a few more 3D Marks this might be the way to get them. This was with my 4200.
Alright, I'll see if I can send you a few reviews either tomorrow or this weekend.

Thanks :) As mentioned later in the review, the IceBerq 4 is a big improvement over stock cooling and can easily handle mild to moderate OCs. But you fanatical, extreme OCers will need something better, probably a combination of coolers. I'm waiting for mikeysg's evaluation of the new Zalman.Quote:
