I totally understand that rain/snow/bad weather is part of the game and I respect that as both teams play in the same condition. But you have to admit the rain was the big reason for a lot of those turnovers and sloppy play.Quote:

It looks like the Raiders are going to trade receiver Randy Moss. The latest reports have Moss getting into a verbal fight with Lane Kiffin when the new coach reached out to the star receiver. Brett Favre reportedly has made it known he wouldn't mind ending his career in Green Bay playing with Moss.

Yes the first quarter was awesome to watch I'm glad I didnt miss it. After that it went downhill rapidly though. And the commercials sucked.Quote:

ooooo could you imagine Moss with Favre 5 years ago? O man that would have been incredible to watch. 5 years ago. Not so much now since Green Bay just utterly sucks. Im not bashing Favre or Moss they are still awesome its just that Green Bay as a team just sucks.Quote:

After that downpour we'd better start getting the SB up north.
It's no secret that there are two Rex's out there; one that plays awesome, and one that plays like crap. We got the one that plays like crap last night. What's your point?Quote:

they will lose a large part of their team....
the Bears? exact opposite...they can almost buy every big name FA this coming season.Quote:
You can make a heck of an argument that no other team in the NFL is in worse shape than the Colts, who have a bevy of potential free agents on their roster and are projected to be less than $5 million under the $109 million cap. Only three teams have less room, and of those, none have as many key free agents. Any way you cut it, the Colts are going to suffer a significant talent drain this offseason.
First the good news: Even though defensive end Dwight Freeney's contract can void in March, he's not getting anywhere close to the open market. Colts general manager Bill Polian made it clear during Super Bowl week that he'll franchise Freeney (at a cost of $8.6 million for 2007) if Indy can't negotiate a contract extension with him before March.
And now the bad news: Indy won't be keeping all the players it prefers to. In no particular order of importance, the key Colts who are scheduled for free agency include both starting cornerbacks (Nick Harper and Jason David), both starting guards (Ryan Lilja and Jake Scott), both starting outside linebackers (Cato June and Rob Morris) and running back Dominic Rhodes.
Especially since building up to the game all I heard about was how the weather would favor the Bears, because Indy is a domme team and the Bears just won the snowy game against the Saints.Quote:

Congrats DJBeanPole17.
I've been a Steelers fan all my life (nearly 56years) but was happy for the Colts, especially Tony Dungy. This year the Colts played through some tough times in mid to late season and showed they were the best team, as a result. I was especially impressed with Peyton Manning. His maturity (and that of the center,Saturday, and the rest of the O line really showed.) Instead of forcing passes Peyton took what Chicago would give him. In addition, Joseph Addai had a MONSTER game and the defense was solid.
All in all the Colts ARE World Champs. Enjoy it!:) :D
Honestly, no matter what their defense did in the playoffs, I don't think it's very good. Losing that many players on D could be just what they need to start retooling. Rhodes played well for them this year, but I think Addai is ready to become the number 1, so him going wouldn't hurt TOO bad imo. Losing both starting guards would hurt, though.Quote:

unless they trade some of these guys for picks...but most teams interested will probably just wait for them to hit the market and bid on them.
well with 1:42 left in the game you would think one would have Manning throwing to the afc's best receivers, bilichick is one bitter guy....sore loser.
Of course, Reggie Wayne led the game in receiving yards, and LT led the game in rushing yards...Quote:

I only watched parts of it because it was on the same channel as the UofA game and I left the tv on after that ended.
Anyone notice Terrel Suggs blitz Romo, and after the play it looked like Romo was complaining about it to the ref. I Lol'd.
I missed the game too, completely forgot about it. My friend said it wasn't even broadcast in hd which is absurd if it's true. I heard brees hurt his elbow or something? Anyone know about that?
Sorry to bring this back up, since I personally hope the story would just die, but on the Ted Johnson thing, it's kind of funny how he suffered these terrible concussions early in the 2002 season, in a September 2002 meeting with Belichick said "You played God with my health. You knew I shouldn't have been cleared to play," yet for some reason he stayed around at least through Super Bowl 39 in 2005. Hindsight being 20/20, he played that year, played a few more years, and is now coming out and putting all the blame on the Patriots staff?
Dislocated his left (non throwing) elbow.Quote:
