Started playing Yakuza Kiwami on some bad information that I should play it before 0. A few hours in I was corrected, so I went back and started 0 instead. Liking it a lot so far.
Don't play it and think you won't get sucked in to the sidegames. You will.
I played super long and inspired RDR2. Best game for me.
Now I'm waiting for Fallout.
Just finished Moonlighter on Switch. While it does feel like rinse and repeat, the sell stuff at your own store and upgrading weapons and armor was still great.
Loved it. I heard there's expansion on PC but not on Switch...
Mostly playing FF7r. Liking it a lot, but it's not going to be an all time favorite of mine.
Mostly I just want to start up another Yakuza game; next up is Yakuza Kiwami 2. Kiwami wasn't too amazing, but Yakuza 0 was just so damn good that the goodwill is still strong. It's a series that I could totally understand not clicking with somebody, but if it does click with you, there's almost nothing else that will give you that fix.

Played that at a PAX South and really liked the demo, but looked into the reviews and apparently the full game doesn't offer much past what I already played. Definitely been on my list to keep up with as they expand past early access but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
I've always wanted to try this series out. Which do you recommend starting with?
Just wrapped up the Light and dark story line in Smash Bros Ultimate. Now building the Switch Labo Vehicle with my 4 year old! Also playing a lot of Rimworld which never ends I think.
I think Zero is generally accepted as the best starting point, followed by Kiwami 1, Kiwami 2, and then 3+ all in order.
Zero is a prequel to 1, so normally you might want to play the original before its prequel, but in reality the original PS2 versions of 1 and 2 aren't really worth playing anymore now that they've been remade as Kiwami 1 and 2. The two Kiwamis were made after Zero, so they have some callbacks to it.
The last game was drift hunters - unlocked all cars:cool:
I thought that was what it sounded like.. figured it might have been a car sim game.
What about RB college? https://retrobowlcollege.com
Gonna start on Robocop Rogue City soon, I have it installed in both my rigs, this games looks like an old skool shooter and has been well reviewed...
I have so many games installed on my PC and never played that I am shocked there is no bit rot. Oh wait, these are nvme drives :D But I have been playing Diablo IV and want to play Baldur's gate 3
Playing Robocop right now and I think it's loads of fun, the gameplay suits me though there are quiet moments when you do some investigations, and help out at the station. I'm now tempted to get Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, from the gameplay demos I've seen of it, it looks great. Only snag is, from the gameplay vids, it seems that you play a female Na'vi character. I know, I know, it doesn't make a difference, but I prefer to play a male Na'vi....perhaps it's my 'toxic masculinity' at play.
Edit - I don't mind IF I have to play a female character, like say, Scarlett Witch, or Supergirl, etc as these are established characters. But the choice between a male or female non-Canon and unknown/new characters should be an option...
Funny you should mention gender in game where there is no choice or no difference between male and female characters. I used to play a male character until 15 years ago I was told.. Would you rather look at a male's butt the whole time or a female.. It made sense. So I mainly play female characters if there is no downside for the class or role I want to play.
Funny as I started to play Robocop a couple days ago. It is fun and the 4k monitor and 1080TI is being pushed to its knees.. I may retire this rig for my plex server and use quicksync for streaming instead of the dedicated video card in the box. Decisions, Decisions...
I recall playing Commander Shepard as a woman because, well, you know, that naked encounter with Liara....done purely for scientific purposes, I assure you!:D
Didcha play Robocop with FSR? It helps, I did so with my RX 6900 XT at 3440x1440, graphics maxed out with FSR Quality and it ran just great. My RX 7900 XTX does not requite upscaling of any kind, ran it at 3840x1080, max ingame setting and it's just great fun.
I haven't quite finish Robocop yet, and true to my lack of focus on any one game, have just bought Avatar Frontiers of Pandora...playing it but have not gotten out of the 'prison' yet. I'll post a few screenshots when I get outside and the beauty of Pandora...
it was Cold Waters with DotMod. Awesome game despite it quite old. But I'm looking forward to a continuation from its creators - Sea Power!
Okay, finally took the plunge and got myself a PS5 (NOT the Digital Edition) and pre-ordered Stellar Blade, after buying take-away dinner for myself when I was downstairs earlier. Made the mistake of walking into the game shop, in the mall downstairs, to ask about the Stellar Blade pre-order, ended up with a PS5 and the pre-order as well, will have a physical copy of Stellar Blade come Friday...
I'd recently gotten a number of games:
The Forever Winter
Black Myth Wukong
Hogwarts Legacy
Lollipop Chainsaw RePop
Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2
The First Descendant (hey, it's free!!! :p )
Tomb Raider I-III Remastered (had credits at EGS, so why not?)
I'm ashamed to say I'd not finished any of 'em, got my attention and time spread too thinly among these games. Though I've decided to focus of Space Marine 2 and it's so kickbutt wandering around in my Space Marine suit and mowing down those pesky Tyranids, and as a result of this game, I've been watching YT vids on the WH 40K lore and it's fascinating. Gonna log off now as I'm anxious to kick more Tyranid butts, this game is old skool in gameplay and I fricking love it!
Alrighty, I'd finished Space Marine 2, first time in a long while that I've actually liked and cared enough for a game to push through and finished it! IF you liked Gears of War gameplay, you'd love Space Marine 2. Heck, I have Space Marine in my Steam library, bought it a long time back but did not quite finish it, so now, between it and playing 'Operations' in Space Marine 2 (side but important missions that are part of, and runs concurrently with what is happening on main missions), I'd still have lotsa Space Marine content to go through.
I'll focus on Space Marine and Space Marine 2 from now on, will get back to my other games later as it's tough for an old dog like me to remember and get comfortable with the keyboard controls for any particular game. So, while I'm getting better at remembering and hitting the right keys and combo for Space Marine 2, I think I'll stick with it for the time being. I might play Lollipop Chainsaw Repop as well since I'm using my 8BitDo Ultimate 2.4 and NOT keyboard (which would mess with my familiarity with Space Marine 2's keyboard controls should I play other games). I guess age is telling as it's getting harder to get comfortable with the keyboard controls for different games at the same time. It's best to focus on one game at a time, for me anyway.
Glad to hear it!

Hey guys, I'd been away in Chiang Mai, Thailand, on a long vacation at my brother's home. Needless to say, I'd neglected my gaming rigs for awhile, as I'm still feeling somewhat 'off' (not really in a gaming mood) I'm doing some light gaming till I get my mojo back. Just a quick post to let you guys know I'm alive and kickin'....
So, anyone play anything since last time you checked in? What's actually worth playing from the last few years?
I'm pretty sure this thread is the forum now so might as well keep it alive ;)
Hey guys, been a little down lately, my old bud, a guy I've known for almost 40 years now, had been hospitalized due to some intestinal issue after having most of his bowel removed due to cancer. Been visiting him on and off for the past couple of months, but he's on the mend now, just met him earlier today, gave him a lunch treat ...... yet he vex me so when we discuss politics, he's always playing Devil's Advocate! He really knows what buttons to push, that's for sure! :o
Anyway, latest game I'd gotten is Stellar Blade Complete Edition from Steam, and honestly, I ain't doing too well playing the game, being an old fart, learning the keyboard controls is kinda hard....the old saying is true, you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Stellar Blade is a good hack and slasher, though Eve (the protagonist) is so hot, and can be rather.....distracting (jiggle physics isn't helping either), I've got her in a skimpy red dress with high slits at her side, and have been stuck in a loop making her go up and slide down a vertical ladder......repeatedly! :o
I guess with practice, I can master the controls to some degree, but I'm handicapping myself with one-handed gameplay because.....:o
