Nice O/C Kev. It surprises me that you went the Intel route again.
However, sometimes I think you buys this stuff just to o/c. You have no intention of using it, just o/c and benchmark it. Oh well, if I had that kind of money to spend on computer parts, I would probably do the same thing. :D
Wow, that's actually some nice performance from the 1.8a. If it's only a few second seperation when you're comparing it to a cpu that's two levels higher than it, in any standards of comparison, I consider that good.
Anyway, with the programs you're running, it might be best to stick with the dual cpu's, at least until prescott. ;) :D
Very nice OC :)
What do you use that rig for if you keep your 4600 in the daulie ?
OK...last time he he..I'm far from being rich...sorry to disappoint everyone! :rolleyes:Quote:

I sell my rigs almost faster than I can build them. That's not alot, but lately about one or two a week. So this time I tried a Woody just to see what the commotion was about.
I got a nice 860Mhz Oc out of it...and if you're into bragging rights on high Mhz and a very easy OC, then the Woody is for you!
The good thing about trying out this rig is that I'll get a bit more money for it than an XP rig.
The one chip that I'm truly excited about is the Hammer. When it comes out, you'll see me :) big time! ;)
It's my "backup rig", just in case something happens to my main rig...and to tell you the truth...it rarely even gets booted once it's built and benchmarked. If I need to download a large file overnight (since it's the quiet one), if a friend comes over for some network gaming (not too often), or for using Dragon Naturally Speaking (to talk/type school papers on). ;)Quote:

ahh yes the same old I tried it it wasnt as fast and now I sell it blah blah blah next time try and use plugins optimized for the P4, Your not being objective when you use plugins bests suited for the XP. Anyways I noticed a huge difference going from 1.6 to 2.4 and I'm not even using good ram yet.
I think I will wait for real reviews from anandtech and toms they might be biased in their comments but atleast they don't lie to your face.

Nice thread crap !
Now to back up the garbage you just spewed forth...show me where Kai's Power Tools plugins are optimized for the XP processor?!?
This plugin was around long before the XP was even in existence.
Go crap on someone elses thread....your ignorance is not welcome here ;)
You beat me too it, i miss making fun of newbie :(Quote:

Dude, the AXP is known to do better in these types of applications.
I can't believe you'd think that, all Kev is doing is testing out new hardware, why the heck would he care what others buy? Dude sometimes I can't believe what comes from your mouth.
BTW: Great OC Kevin!! :)
Well maybe you're just different from the rest of us. I've had exceeding bad experiences with WD hard drives, Gateway comps, ATI video cards. That's why I don't recommend them. If you want to call me a liar for the same reason you're calling Kevin a liar, okay, feel free to go ahead and buy those things.. There's an old saying, you can take a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. ;)Quote:

The really sad thing is.. you won't be the first or the last of your kind with that attitude. :(
Thanks Soldier.Quote:

Since you quoted Newbie-Overclocker, even though I've got him on my ignore list, I have to read the garbage he spewed once again.
What's Funny is I posted all the benches, not just the ones that made the XP look favorable. As a matter of fact, the Woody at 2650 beat the XP2100+ at most of the synthetic benches. I didn't trash talk the Woody in this entire thread..not once.
I guess to an ignorant Inteliot anything that shows the P4 in a less than favorable light is not tolerated?!?
I have come to know many people like this in other areas of my life, ones that tolerate others views, only if the coincide with their own. Yes, it's sad, it's silly, and it'a downright ignorant....but what can you do? ;)
