Plummer will be leaving Denver.
Garcia is talking with the Raiders, Buccaneers, and Broncos.
Joey Porter released by Pits.
Joe Horn released by N.O.
...and many more...
Well, the Broncos did lose a pretty damn good corner.
Cowboys should pick up Porter :D
I think Porter should go to Baltimore. Or Cincy.
Man I can't wait for free agency to start. Who's going to be players this year? I know Seatown is going to go hard at Patrick Kerney and Kris Dielman, which would really address two of the biggest needs.
Dielman will be here in the morning, they (Paul Allen) should throw money at him and not let him leave!
Looks like Denver gets the first crack at Daniel Graham, snakspy must love the sound of that.
I'm not surprised the Broncos traded Tatum Bell. He never seemed to me like their kind of back; he did well for them, but they have more of a "one cut then go upfield" kind of offense, and he's more of a jitterbug type of runner.
Porter and Horn are surprising to me, Horn more so.
I hope that's just sarcasm that I didn't pick up on. Hasn't he had some pretty big feuds with both teams in the recent past (particularly Baltimore, I think he and Ray Lewis pretty much hate each other)?Quote:

I want Porter to go to a division rival of Pittsburghs. I can't stand Porter or the Steelers, so I'd lmao.
Damn, the Broncos gave up Bell, OT George Foster, AND a draft pick to get Bly. Pretty good move by the Lions if you ask me. I also saw that the Broncos have now traded or released the last 4 players to lead them in rushing for the previous season.
Taking Foster may have given the Lions some draft leverage. They still need O Line help, but they don't really NEED to take Thomas at that 2 spot now imo. They could possibly trade down a little ways, pick up some extra picks, and try to snap up Quinn later in the top 10. They don't really have to worry about anyone else taking him until maybe the Texans in the 8 slot.
Also - sucks to be the Redskins, they have the #6 pick in the draft but don't have another choice until the 5th freaking round.
Looks like Plummer is retiring rather than get traded to the Bucs -

That kind of came out of left field...
I figure we'll be hearing about Drew Bledsoe's retirement in a week or so.

Nah, Raiders are looking at Garcia, who I thought played well for McNabb last year. Considering the Bronco's are also looking at Garcia, I wouldn't be surprised if Garcia chooses Denver. I mean really, who in their right mind would willingly want to play for the Raiders?
I'm actually surprised that Bledsoe hasn't announced any retirement plans yet. I haven't seen a single article of any team talking to or about aquiring him. Maybe some of our Dallas members here can give us some insight on local news.
OTOH, in Oakland he might actually get to play while they're preparing Russell (assuming they take him in the draft). In Denver, he comes in with no chance whatsoever of even competing for the starting job. I think he knows that at this point in his career he'll most likely have to suck it up and be second string, but If I were him, I would go somewhere like Tampa Bay, where you know you at least have a shot at starting.Quote:

He's a big ol' TE that is leaving the Patriots. He went to school at Colorado, as well. Graham will fetch a nice paycheck.
Dockery signs with the Bills,
Steinbach to the Browns.
49M over seven for each, a-la the Hutch deal last year. That's two of the three stud guards now off the market, Seattle better get Dielman signed.
you guys are correct on Garcia.... back to the bay for the g... oh nevermind.

If Garcia's market boils down to Oakland or Denver -- where he would be backing up second-year pro Jay Cutler and replacing Plummer -- his best chance to start would be with the Raiders, whose offensive coordinator, Greg Knapp, had several successful seasons with Garcia in San Francisco.
Well Garcia is certaintly going to the bay, Tampa Bay that is. And I have to say I'm pretty happy about it. Even if he doesn't start, he is going to make Simms work his tail off, and that's a good thing. Plus he knows the west coast offense that Gruden runs thanks to his days in San Fran.Quote:

Dude you're going to love Garcia being in your town. Not because of how he plays, but because he will always tell it like it is, no matter what. He gave the BEST radio interviews while he was here in Detroit. I'm not a fan of the guy, but its great getting to listen to him.Quote:

Fifth round -- No. 2 (129th)
Fifth round -- No. 8 (135th) -- from Miami
Fifth round -- No. 17 (144th) -- from St. Louis
Fifth round -- No. 21 (148th) -- from Denver
Ruskell just dumped a truckload of cash on Patrick Kerney. Not sure how excited I am about it, but he'll be a good 3rd down guy in the DE rotation. Wistrom needs a breather after two plays! He's getting old and busted.
