Joey Porter to the Dolphins. How old is he, anyway? The Dolphin's defense needs to get younger, and quickly. I'm sure he'll help, but I'm not sure he's really what they need right now.
::edit::
He's about 30, not too bad.

Damn, Ravens give up a third and a seventh this year AND a third next year to get Willis McGahee from the Bills. Honestly, I think the Ravens are pretty loaded already, so this seems like a real win-win situation, but I wish Baltimore would have given up a little less for him.
Yea I cant believe how many picks they gave up. The Ravens have been one of the best personnel teams so I give them the benefit of the doubt, but man thats a lot of young talent they are giving up.Quote:

Mostly because of the massive freaking salary cap boost after the most recent collective bargaining agreement was signed.Quote:

Yeah, that was almost kind of a relief. We can use Wistom's cap money after June 1st cuts, and his health and production has been declining steadily. I liked the guy a lot but Seattle paid handsomely for a guy that never played the way he did in St. Louis.
Looks like Ken Hamlin will be moving on as well, the Hawks signed Deon Grant away from Jacksonville yesterday. I'll miss Hamlin's big hits, but Grant should be a much better coverage safety. Hamlin needs to go play SS somewhere instead of FS.
Actually thats not true. There was a big stink about no Lions reps there, but actually there were like 8 including an executive. I think it all came from Matt Millen not being there, not sure though.Quote:

I would rather build the o-line, but everything says Johnson is an AMAZING prospect and the best athlete in the draft.
Really it doesn't matter. We are the Lions. We'll still be the Lions after the draft.
:p
Detroit did well signing Dewayne White the other day. I wanted Seattle to sign him over Kerney, actually.
Yea I didn't know anything about him until after we signed him, but everything Ive read since then makes it seem like it was a very good signing. Hopefully...Quote:

Haha. They shoulda just kept Larry Allen last year and not had to worry about it :D
We need a FS in the draft. I hope Reggie Nelson of Florida drops to us. Him and Williams would destroy everyone.
Nice the giants traded tim carter for reuben droughns. Great deal for the giants, droughns has had 2 solid years while tim carter is not a good receiver. He can almost catch the ball though.
not sure about this deal.... Rhodes doesn't seem like a bruiser or every down back, he is gonna have to carry a full load cause jordan blows.Quote:
Running back Dominic Rhodes is going from the Super Bowl champions to the team that posted the worst record in the NFL last season, after agreeing Friday to a two-year contract with the Oakland Raiders that could be worth up to $7.5 million.
Rhodes' deal was confirmed by a person familiar with negotiations who spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal had not been announced.
I heard on the radio that 8 players that led their team in rushing last year are no longer with that team. After the Droughns move, that may be 9 now, I can't remember if he led the Browns or not, and I'm too lazy to look it up.
Jamal Lewis, Willis McGahee, Tatum Bell, Tiki Barber, Travis Henry, Thomas Jones, Ahman Green, Corey Dillon, and Ruben Droughns. That's just off the top of my head, I think that's all right, though.
Where'd Ahman Green go?
Houston Texans.Quote:

Duckett to the Lions? Isn't Tatum Bell still there?
Hey monroeski what do you think of Ed Mulitalo? Rumor has it the seahawks are hell-bent on signing either him or Zach Piller to play guard.
I will probably be pickin Travis Henry in my top 1 or 2 spots in my ff draft for sure, he is going to be great with the Broncos.
That seems like a sound plan. Denver RB's *always* put up the numbers.Quote:
