Thanks, thats is actually as high as I can get it with Rivatuner, I have had it upto 635 on my Nforce MB and 645 on my KT400, if I can figure whats wrong and get it back up to 645 watch out. :D Edit to add I just have a asus 4200 with 64mb 4ns ram, also I only need 333 more points to take first place.:DQuote:

alright, got some questions for ya. does win2k get better results than 98se? and would 3dmark2001se even work in win95? just curious.
also, to answer the question about my vid card oc...last night i ran the tests using 303.8 core and 580.5 mem. this was with quite a bit of artifacting, though. i actually had done this earlier running at about 310 and 594 with a few artifacts...but now i just can't do it! guess i will just have to screw around with it and see what i can do.
edit - the website said that the reason i couldn't publish it was because of my processor speed fluxing. so to be able to publish i'm actually going to have to back down the oc?!! :eek: :eek: :( i was really counting on the 2500+ oc to get me the extra points i need!
I really don`t know, but some people have got some high overclocks with Win2K running it without SP1 installed. I never run my video card with artifacts, there`s too much of a chance of damaging it. It could be a heat issue, you could take the side of your case off and have a fan blowing on the video card and see if that helps things. Edited for spelling
yeah, i'd prefer running without artifacts, but i can't really get a decent oc of the vid card without getting artifacts. i actually took the side of the case off and had a huge fan blowing in my case, but it really didn't help that much.Quote:

oh, i also just checked your most recent run and compared fps's. i beat you in both car chase runs and both lobby runs. you beat me by a bit in the dragothic tests...but you really hammered me in the nature test (compared to the other tests...you were up 12.9 fps).
What program are you using to OC your video card with, if your not using Rivatuner download it at guru3d.com and set the Mipmap LOD to +3 and the Mipmap LOD bias to +3 and see what you get.

Under driver settings, click on the DX symbol and set it to +3, I may have made a boo boo, I also set the settings under open gl too and I don`t think I was suppose too.:D
oh, here's another question...do you overclock at the low level hardware or driver level hardware (using rivatuner)?
The low level hardware, only set the Mipmap under the driver level section.

Still got a 110cfm 120mm fan to hook up....;) And I got a Socket 462 HSF with a copper plug on its way... Little mod coming up for the VGPU cooling.:D
Here's a tip for you guys, before running the tests, click on System info/Detail, under 3DMark2001 Control Panel, check to see if cpu speed is around your actual clockspeed, if it is, you should be able to publish. ;) :) If you set your clock at, say, 11x200=2200mhz, it should show a speed similar to your actual clockspeed, if it show , umm..2055mhz, don't run the test, you won't be able to publish.:mad: Restart computer, check 3DM2001 CP again to see if speed matches (or is close).....just something I've observed, don't know if it works 100% but hasn't let me down yet.;) :D Have fun benching guys!!:p :DQuote:

mikeysg, I`ve been doing some more tweaking and once my new score is posted on the data base I will be #2 for the 4200.:D

Can't go wrong with the SLKs!! :D I don't believe the V7+ is up to the challenge, what your temp now btw?:confused: Anyway, if the V7+ is anything like my Spark 7, damn LOUD mutha!, the SLK's gonna be a pleasure.;) My AMD has a Panaflo fan while the SLK900U for my Intel comes with a 80mm YS Tech fan FYI. My friend popped by my house recently and he said that my rig's real quiet, much quieter than his older P4 rig.;) Get the SLK, you'll have no regrets whatsoever!!!:DQuote:
