Yup, got the one from Dell. Do not see any noticable IQ difference.
You gonna return it then?
Not worth the hassle/time of taking apart my setup and mailing the whole thing back.
tried modded 83.60 drivers. Stil no go.
I have no problems (anymore...) in getting full 2560x1600 res with windows desktop and with two 2D games I have tried (subspace & cosmic rift). However of the two 3D games I have tried, it only lets me choose at max 1024x768 res within the game. The two games I have tried were "Battlefield 2" and "Warcraft 3". I am using an evga 7800gt and 81.98 drivers. I remember seeing on some site with someone showing screenshots of BF2 in 2560x1600 so I know it can be done. I just can't do it. Has anyone here got it working at full res with BF2?
UPDATE: I got 2560x1600 to work on the "Star Wars - Empire at War" demo. But still no go on BF2 and WC3.
UPDATE2: nevermind, i got it to work in BF2 by passing (appending) command line parameters at the shortcut:
+menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 2560 +szy 1600
However, while the 3d graphics itself is 2560x1600 res and correct aspect ratio, the HUD (like the radar) is an oval. But I guess I can live with that. I could have sworn I seen a screenshot of BF2 at 2560x1600 with a circle radar tho. And no, +widescreen instead of +fullscreen doesn't change anything either. Oh well.
Some fixes require input or cooperation beyond our control. Please be patient and rest assured this is a priority issue that is being addressed.
Best regards,
NVIDIA Customer Care
FYI: Games that I have tried that work at 2560x1600.
Civilization 4
Dungeon Siege 2
Guild Wars
Rise of Nations
I do note a distinct lack of FPS here! Extreme res for relatively slow games like RTS is doable, I'd like to see someone (except T'birdy with his godlike 9700Pro :p) say they can do FEAR/Q4 at that res, max detail and with eye candy to boot. :DQuote:

Ok, just for you I downloaded and installed the FEAR demo. Changed the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Monolith Productions\FEARSPDemo\settings.cfg file to set ScreenWidth to 2560 and ScreenHeight to 1600. Works fine. No problems. Now I got to go lay down for a bit, too dammed nauseous.
lol, thanks for taking one for the team.
lol . . . . .

I haven't seen anyone else mount their 3007 vertical yet. In case anyone is interested in doing this, changing it to vertical just requires unscrewing the 4 screws to the VESA mount and screwing it back 90 degrees rotated. Too bad it isn't as convenient as the 2405 where you just simply rotate it without dealing with screws. BTW, you can see the BF2 radar being an oval while running it at 2560x1600 as I mentioned in a previous post. The actual 3D environment is the correct aspect ratio however. If anyone knows how to fix this, pls let me know. :)
