No. 1920x1200 = 2304000 pixels. At 32-bit color depths, that would be 73728000 bits or 9.2 MB.Quote:

Is it sturdy? When you write or type or just shake it, does the whole desk move and transfer motion to the stuff on your desk?
My current desk is very flimsy and shakes a lot. I wanna get the jerker so I need your opinion.
Oh, and nice system.
Sounds like they should have named your desk the "Shaker". lolQuote:

That XR55 is a nice receiver. I just got one for my HT setup after listening to all the buzz on avsforums.com.
Hey Soup, how are the tech jobs in Vancouver? I've always thought about trying to move there since its always in the top 10 places to live. I think I read somewhere that the rent and housing is a little on the high side though.
Soup:I think you missed my first post.
What was your old rig config?

Yup the housing/rent is one of the most expensive in Canada. An average apartment in downtown Vancouver will cost about $350,000+ CAN. Housing in the subburbs is about $400,000+. Just don't move to places with crime like Surrey. There seems to be a lot of tech companies but also alot of job competition. (asian people like myself who play with PC's);) Toronto does have more opportunity though since most companies headquarters are located over there. I'm currently starting the job search so I don't have a detailed understanding of our job market yet.:)
Congrats of the XR55! What speakers are you using with it? I auditioned it against the Pioneer VSX815 and the Harmon Kardon AV135. The XR55 beat them hands down in soundquality...imho. (neutrality, low level detail, imaging, lack of brightness, and usability)
OMFG i'm sold. the jerker is an awesome desk. thx soup :)
EDIT: shaker lol
WOW.What is the average hourly rate of pay, over there?Quote:

Cyber, I'd say the average pay rate for an entry level tech job is $15-25CAN/ hour.
Awesome setup Soup, that really is some nice gear you picked up there. Love that desk as well, if I didn't make my own I would be all over one of those :)
You'll love that monitor too, you'll find it only grows on ya the more you use it. After using mine for almost a year I can't hardly stand turning on my old comp with the old Diamondtron CRT :p
How do you like that keyboard btw? I know we've both been long time Natural keyboard users and I've been pondering making the switch to that one. How do the keypresses and spacing and what not feel compared to the old school MS Natural keyboard? Also is there anything you don't like about that keyboard by chance?
Thats just a damn sweet setup all around, I'm liking everything from the receiver/speakers setup to the keyboard, and everything in between. Grats man ;)
