I played a monk, and when I quit they didn't have a specific role. Sure, we could tank, but plates were a lot better tanks. Although, we did do massive damage. I constantly out DPSed a lot of the other people I grouped with. Rangers sucked badly, not sure how they fare nowadays.
Lol, my permagroup was the first to do the CT event on Crushbone. It was so badass, we didn't even have an enchanter. We just ran the spawns around on the platform, haha. Good times. Too bad there was no good blunt monk weapons for my picking pleasure. I ended up getting the 1h sword for our warrior. So he had the 2her and the 1her, haha. This was before Lavastorm even opened up on the servers.
I had a lot of fun playing off tank to my friends monk, I kept him healed and shielded, and he kept the agro with the insane amount of damage he dealt. But if I slipped up or had lag for one second or two, he always ended up taking a dirt nap lol
Monks (without the high-end armor) could dish it out but couldn't take more than a few hits themselves. I always thought that was a bug, maybe they have fixed it by now, Opstar should know.
Oh and your point about the Rangers is very valid, my best friend IRL played one, I always felt bad for him.

Why do you say that? They get the same amount of starting attributes as everyone else.Quote:

Yeah, but they put it where it counts. They didn't waste points in charisma. Some hardcore players did some calculations, and if you setup an achuran correctly, you can train about a day faster than other races. I don't really care about min/maxing my character, but that sounds kind of significant.Quote:

From LU 13-LU20ish Rangers were the most overpowered class in the game by far. Soloing yellow ^^^ named they could lead off with their snare, and maybe triple fire and then turn on stream of arrows. The mob would normally die before it reached them.Quote:

K, I'm an idiot. What does LU stand for? I've never seen this acronym before except for these forums.
Damn I miss EnB. :( Story line was pretty good.Quote:

Even if that was the case, it doesn't even matter at that low of a level. (rangers being overpowered)
