For BF1942 you need a pretty fast machine if you dont have a dedicated server. If is going to be dedicated i would guess atleast 1ghz or so with 512mb of ram.
the only problem with CD is traffic to the server will decrease and tehre are not enough regulars there to create a substantial player base (as in people constantly in the server)
i would say hold off on CD for a few months and just get more admins to watch over the server more often
CD is a pain in the *** for people (too lazy to DL it :p), and most people don't have it so the amount of random players will decrease by quite a bit if it's applied right now.

I wonder if there is anyway to actually limit what weapons people can use. Might cut down on some annoying people who choose to be stupid.;) I wanna see more people out and on the server! common guys all the cool people are doing it :cool: . Suggestions for another game.
Currently have CS 1.6 running.
I was checking my bandwith and with 14 people on the sharky community cs server i was only using about 15 to 20% of my BW. My cpu was running at 11% and i think it is going VERY well for this thing being up not even a week. There has been over 450 players that have joined the server in 3 days.
If yall would want me to i could setup another game server but yall would have to decided on which game it would be. Everyone will have to AGREE on ONE game. <--- this might be impossible for yall but atleast try. I just dont anyone getting all po'ed bc i didnt setup the game you want. Be civil about it please.

I think you need to enable the FF limit on spawn. Like if you shoot a teammate within 5 seconds, you get slapped/slayed, whatever. People (i'm not going to mention names) kept shooting my because "I was taking their gun" in iceworld... It was getting a little out of control... Other then that, everything is going pretty well... I had a few big lag spikes, I don't know about anyone else.
I don't want that, somtimes I find it so easy to mistakenly attack a taemte...especially at spawn...whether...you want an admin with the power to slay (read: kill) instantly at will anybody that is intentionally TKingQuote:
