I have had the V7+ so long that I have gotten use to it, its running at about 6500rpm`s right now with the system overclocked and my temps are 26c sys and 42c cpu, with an ambiant temp. of 84F, its been a little cooler today.:D I think the Tornado fan I`m getting to go with the SLK-800 will be louder.;)

lonewolfroger and mikeysg, I've been around alot lately reading threads though I haven't been posting much. Since I've retired from 3dmarking I've lost most of the enthusiam I used to have with hardware, extreme cooling, overclocking, etc.

Now all I do is just play solitaire. :)

Anyways, lately I've just been playing games(almost done with Morrowind :cool: ) and working. I'm now the head cook at a restaurant so I'm busy working 50+ hours aweek. :eek:

We've been busy, carrying on the good work!;) I've promised myself that I'll stop benching at 20.5-21k (a solemn promise at that :cool: ), chances of my keeping this promise is slim though imho.:p :D 50+hrs a week job really suck!!:eek: Where the union when you need them?!!! :p Well, anyway, good to hear from you.:) :)

most cooking places don't have any unions .. cuz their cheap like that.. i roll in about 45 hours a week too pyro... i'ma cook too, soon part time, since school starts soon..

thats it.. i decided not to get my LCD screen, (cuz i can't afford it yet, maybe at the end of the month) as for now, im going to get the MSI 875 mobo, ive been hearing alot of good things about that motherboard, so lets hope it'll do wonders for me too, i'll be back in this race, I WILL, I will!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Don't get the MSI. For god sakes, don't...:eek: They boast many features and cool little things, but as far as overclocking goes, they're a disaster. They have so many incompatabilities with RAM and not being able to run it at low timings and all that.

Why not get the IC7 for ~$180 at Dangeo? I know they're in Calgary...:confused:

I agree! I had one of the 845PE Max boards and it was supposed to be an overclockers dream. It turned out to be more like an overclocking nightmare. The Abit is the best way to, just read the reviews.

ok, i didn't think msi was good. i looked on future mark, and the top overclocking boards are Asus p4C800 and the abit IC7-G mobo.. and i gotta decided which mobo to get...

I agree that MSI board is crap!!!!

However the ABIT has a better BIOS for tweaking while the P4C800 offer a slightly better overclock :)

So far that is my experience with the two :)

Really? That's interesting as for the most part, overclockers seem to go for the IC7 series. :p

Yup... Well actually its a toss up... I think the overclockers are more tossed down the middle then you think :)

I know a lot of them prefer the ABIT since they were always happy with them before... While others just prefer the Asus...

But what I stated before was personal experience with the P4C800 vs. IC7-G... I started to test out the boards I have sitting around :D

You shouldnt have regrets, but get a good fan, even if its loud. My ventek tornado works wonders for me, that thing is so powerful albet a bit loud even for me, but ah well :p

ti4200<ti4400 its that simple. we match core speeds, but my ram is 590 to your 665MHz. Big difference there. also your cpu is still a bit more powerful than mine. I might be able to match your score if I get an albatron ti4200 turbro and wind her to 310/670+ but the price she is at now, forget it. I just need to v mod mine, should get me 15k easy though :)
